You know how I thought I stood a chance because I had unlocked a percentage of my host's core muscle memory? Yeah, I was wrong because Vicky beat the living shit out of me.
I couldn't even land a single blow, it was unfortunate but this was the limit of my abilities.
But it wasn't as one-sided as the first time, I could at least put up a fight and I could tell by the look in Vicky's eyes that she was impressed with what she saw.
The God of Combat came through for me because this could have been a lot worse.
I had to recollect myself and I noticed that this part of the gym had a private shower to wash off after sparring.
Vicky went in to shower and I couldn't help my mind from wandering into perverse territory.
I could remember the recoil of her blows against my body, the smell of her sweat dripping down every inch of her body.
The shape of her areolas concealed beneath that crop top of hers but this was a good thing I had learned.
Not only was Minsuk a skilled fighter, he was shrouded in so much mystery that I didn't even know where to begin but I knew it was something that I had time to discover.
I rested my head, wondering how my father was coping now that I was no longer around.
I was the one thing that made him cling to this world, the one thing that gave his life purpose yet I was no more.
"Should I go pay him a visit?" I thought to myself, it wasn't strange that no one had spoken about my death, I was like a fly that no one gave a rat's ass if it got swatted.
And that was exactly what happened, Bong killed me and remembering how this boy ruined my life only made me remember the rage that coursed through my veins.
I knew I had to do something about it but then there was something that beeped.
I knew it was another message from the gods but I didn't know what they could want.
[[A message from the God Of Information: Hello there human, I know you must be curious about what will happen once you complete the tasks assigned to you by the Gods. I, Thoth, will grant you this information. You have the body of your host but you do not know how to use it to its fullest potential. You must complete the trials of the Gods to unlock fragments of your host and only then will you be able to carry out your vengeance!]]
Thoth informed me and I was perplexed by this because it showed that this was going to be a lot more complicated.
"What are the disadvantages of refusing an order from one of these Gods?" I asked, hoping for a response and a response I got.
[[Thoth: You lose access to that god and the probability of success for your vengeance drops with it. It is advised that you complete all the tasks to keep the probability at a staggering 99%! And upon successful completion of your revenge, you will be reincarnated into your original body if you please!]]
Thoth informed me and this made sense, I needed to keep the success as high as possible because, in the end, I knew each god was important in my completing these tasks.
But I was still trying to wrap my head around how I could possibly be reincarnated into my body, had it not already begun to decay.
That had to be the case so was this some sort of trick to get me to complete those tasks; if I was being honest, I don't think I could go back to being a loser.
If anything, I have experienced a life I have always been envious of so there was no reason as to why
[[A message from the God of Immorality: Peek into the shower!]]
I wanted to feign surprise but part of me was happy that this was a task because it could bypass my morality, it was an excuse for me to act out something I had thought about.
"I mean, anything for my revenge…" I thought to myself with a grin but my heart was thumping because I knew there was a possibility that I got caught.
But you only live once, am I right? I got up to my feet and did some light stretching because I had to be in optimal form to get this done.
I stood on my toes, taking a deep breath as I emptied my mind of what was to come.
"Let's do this!" I muttered to myself before heading to the shower like an assassin about to take the life of his victim.
I reached the door and found out that it wasn't locked, she probably didn't feel the need to as it was only both of us in the room but this made it easier for me to complete my task.
Did the gods know this? Was that why they gave me this particular task?
Not like I was complaining and before I knew it, I managed to open the door slightly and realized that this place was bigger than I had thought.
It felt like a shower for a football team with multiple stalls but it was easy to find her because there was only one shower turned on and it was at the end of the room.
I had to walk past at least seven shower stalls until I reached the last one but this was where I slowed down.
The curtains were down and I knew all I had to do was steal a glance to complete this task but my body was hesitant.
"Come on! You can do this!" I tried to encourage myself, mustering all the courage I could.
My hands reached for the blinds and pulled aside, what happened next was something I could never have predicted.
