Before Alex could react, the distorted Alex's hand plunged forward with surprising speed, his bony fingers pressing against Alex's forehead. Alex gasped, a jolt of energy tearing through him as his vision blurred.

"Arghhh!" He squeezed his eyes shut, a primal scream caught in his throat.

When he opened his eyes again, the distorted Alex was grinning, a single, jagged tooth glinting in the void. "There, all done! A little gift. I've bestowed upon you a fragment of my own power, Plot Manipulation."

Alex recoiled, his hand instinctively reaching towards his forehead. He could feel something… different, a simmering power just beneath the surface. But a cold dread settled in his stomach.

"Wait," he stammered, his voice raw with suspicion. "Plot… Manipulation? You're giving me power?"
