บท 102: His puzzlement

In the dead of night,

a shout rends the silence.

The voice, nauseating and despised, slithers into my ears, dragging me from my slumber. My eyes snap open, brows furrowed in alarm as I dash downstairs, panic propelling me forward. There he stands, the man I had warned my mother against admitting.

She has once again betrayed my trust, and my heart throbs with a fierce, unrelenting fury. "Why are you telling me to lower my voice?! Are you implying your son holds more authority in this household?! I am the one who bought this damned house! I am the father and husband!"

His aggressive yell scratches my brain. From the side, my mother attempts to soothe the drunk man, gripping his arm firmly to steady his swaying steps. "I warned you to neglect his existence" My voice cuts through, gathering the attention upon me. "Vio!" "Flavio!"
