-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yamamoto and his team emerged from the Black Temple into the dense, shadowy forest, the scroll now carefully tucked into Yamamoto's robe. The daylight had begun to wane, casting long, foreboding shadows across the landscape. The weight of the scroll's power was visible, a reminder of the ancient warnings they had received within the temple's walls.
Yamamoto glanced back at the Black Temple, its dark spires still looming against the twilight sky. "We need to move quickly," he said, his voice low but firm. "The shadows here are thick with malice, and they will only grow stronger as night falls."
Akiko nodded, her gaze lingering on the temple as well. "The scroll… it feels alive. We have to be careful with it, Yamamoto-sensei. Whatever knowledge it holds, it's bound to be dangerous."
"Agreed, it could also be a type of cursed object so it will probably be a bad idea to open it" Yasuke added, his hand still resting on the hilt of his sword. "But we need answers, and this scroll might be the only way to get them."
Without another word, they set off through the forest, their senses alert to any signs of danger. The path back to the capital was long and treacherous, and with the looming threat of the Forest, they couldn't afford to be careless.
As they made their way through the dense underbrush, the forest seemed to close in around them, the trees growing more twisted and gnarled. The air was thick with the scent of damp earth and decaying leaves, and the only sounds were the rustling of leaves and the occasional distant call of an unseen creature.
It wasn't long before the forest began to play tricks on them. Shadows flickered at the edge of their vision, and the whispers from the temple seemed to follow them, growing louder with each passing minute. The deeper they ventured, the more it felt like the forest itself was watching them, waiting for the right moment to strike.
Akiko tightened her grip on her kunai, her eyes scanning the surroundings warily. "This place… it's unnatural. It's like the forest is alive, and it doesn't want us here."
Yamamoto nodded, his own senses attuned to the malevolent presence that seemed to permeate the air. "The Black Temple is a nexus of dark energy. It's likely corrupted the land around it, turning the forest into a living trap."
"We need to stay together," Yasuke said, his tone serious. "If we get separated, we'll be easy prey for whatever lurks in the shadows."
They continued their journey, but the path grew more difficult with each step. The ground became uneven, roots and vines twisting across their way as if trying to trip them. The trees seemed to grow closer together, their branches forming a dense canopy that blocked out the last remnants of daylight.
As night fell, the forest became a maze of darkness and shadow, and the whispers grew louder, now sounding more like a cacophony of voices, each one more insistent than the last.
"Yamamoto-sensei," Akiko said quietly, her voice barely above a whisper, "there's something out there. I can feel it watching us."
Yamamoto didn't need her to say it—he could sense it too. The forest was no longer just an ominous backdrop; it was an active threat, something far more dangerous than they had anticipated.
"We need to find shelter," Yamamoto decided, his voice steady despite the tension. "We're vulnerable out here in the open. If we stay on the move, we'll tire ourselves out, and whatever is out there will strike when we're weakest."
They pressed on, searching for a suitable place to rest. It wasn't long before they found a small clearing, surrounded by thick, ancient trees that provided some semblance of protection. The clearing was far from ideal, but it was the best they could hope for in this cursed forest.
Yamamoto and Yasuke quickly set about preparing the area. They cleared away the underbrush, creating a space large enough for them to sit and rest. Yoru,Akiko and Ren meanwhile, scouted the perimeter, their sharp eyes and keen senses ensuring that they weren't walking into a trap.
Once they were settled, Yamamoto unrolled the scroll, its surface glowing faintly in the dim light. The symbols and diagrams that had once been static now seemed to shift and pulse, as though they were reacting to the presence of the dark energy in the forest. before long the symbols started changing and seconds later the drawing of the cursed object used against the four tails along with its description appeared on the scroll
"Hmm... it seems this scroll was able to get into my memory and retrieve the data I wanted," Yamamoto said, his voice thoughtful as he studied the Drawings and descriptions. "This could prove useful but i need to experiment later to find out the limits and the price for using this."
Akiko peered over his shoulder, her curiosity piqued despite the danger. "What does it say, sensei? Can you read it?"
Yamamoto shook his head. "Not entirely. The language is ancient, far older than anything I've encountered. But i think with enough time i should be able to decipher what it says i'm pretty sure the location of its previous owner is written down here."
"So, it's a weapon?" Yasuke asked, his eyes narrowing.
"Not exactly," Yamamoto replied. "It's more likely a tool—a means of Spying. The monks must have been using this to spy on the current forces of the world, the only problem is why they would give this away so easily, not much to a bunch of people they just met"
As they discussed the scroll's significance, the forest around them seemed to come alive with renewed energy. The shadows at the edge of the clearing thickened, and the whispers grew louder, now a chorus of voices that echoed in their minds.
"We need to decipher this quickly," Akiko said, her voice tinged with urgency. "Whatever is out there, it's not going to wait for us to figure this out."
Yamamoto nodded, his eyes scanning the symbols on the scroll with renewed focus. "Agreed. But we need to be careful. If we unlock this power without understanding it fully, we may experience far worse conditions than death."
As they worked, the forest pressed in around them, the darkness growing deeper, more oppressive. The whispers became almost deafening, and the shadows seemed to shift and move, as though they were closing in on the group.
Suddenly, the ground beneath them trembled, and a low, rumbling growl echoed through the clearing. The temperature plummeted, and the air grew thick with an unnatural chill. They all sprang to their feet, weapons at the ready, as the source of the disturbance revealed itself.
From the depths of the forest, a massive figure emerged, its form wreathed in darkness. It stood on all fours, its body covered in coarse, black fur that seemed to absorb the light around it. Its eyes glowed with a malevolent red, and its maw was filled with jagged, razor-sharp teeth.
"The Four-Tails," Akiko whispered, her voice trembling with a mix of awe and fear. "Why is it here?"
The beast growled again, the sound vibrating through the ground and up into their bones. It was unlike any creature they had ever faced—a living embodiment of destruction, driven by an insatiable hunger for power.
Yamamoto stepped forward, his hand on the hilt of his sword. "it must be the forest playing tricks on us," he said, his voice calm but filled with resolve. "Stay focused,it might not be as strong as the real thing and remember the plan. I'll be the one to fight it head-on. you just need to stay back and provide support when needed, use the environment to your advantage."
The Four-Tails roared, the force of the sound causing the trees around them to sway violently. It charged toward them with terrifying speed, its massive claws tearing through the earth as it closed the distance.
Yamamoto drew his sword, the blade glowing with a fiery aura as he channeled his chakra into it. " spread out and Find Cover. I'll take this on."
With a nod darted to opposite sides of the clearing, their movements fluid and precise. Akiko threw a flurry of kunai at the beast, each one infused with explosive tags. They detonated on impact, creating a series of fiery explosions that forced the Four-Tails to veer off course.
"Atta girl" Yamamoto grins clearly proud of his student move. and without any second to lose he channels his chakra to his feet and dashes to the disoriented Four tails
Drawing his katana from its scabbard Yamamoto runs up the beast legs before using it as a support to jump high in the sky.
Positioning himself in the sky he gets ready to slash the four tails but before he could do that, one of the tails of the four tails grabs his body and flings him away the power so much that he passed through 50 meters passing through trees before using his sword to slow himself down
"That was unexpected" He says standing up from the ground dusting his body while checking his robe for the scroll, seeing the scroll intact and clean in his Clothes he looks at the tail beast with a somber expression, "I don't know if the forest can replicate all of the tail beast power, lets test it strength first" He added removing his sword from the ground as he watches the four tails look at him with fiery eyes already locking him as its target
Without wasting any time the four tails dashes towards Yamamoto the ground shaking with every step it takes lava appearing in the trail it takes
in less than ten seconds the four tails arrives at Yamamoto's location and strikes at Yamamoto with its palm
Yamamoto seeing the incoming palm takes a deep breath, gathering the chakra to his feet and jumping through the fingers of the palm, landing on the arm of the beast. Without wasting a second Yamamoto jumps off the Tail beast arm narrowly dodging the second attack aimed at him with the tail beast second arm. Running on the ground Yamamoto reaches the Four tails legs and without missing a beat he coats his katana in burning flames and strikes at one of the legs of the four tail but the four tails seeing this didn't allow him and uses one of its tail instead causing Yamamoto's Sword to cut into it a little
Hmmm?
Not doing anything else Yamamoto removes his katana from the tail and jumps back with the aid of chakra Landing 10 meters away from the tail beast
"It seems the forest wasn't able to make a full powered tail beast, that means I still have a chance" Yamamoto thinks as he watches the bleeding tail of the tail beast running full speed at him
The four tails clearly enraged at its injury jumps up reaching high in the sky using gravity to its advantage and comes down smashing his two hands to where Yamamoto was staying, and as it land back down a minor earthquake happens, trees in the vicinity clear away and the grass on the ground had long since vanished
A look of confusion appears on the Tail beast face as he looks at where he struck and didn't see any trace of Yamamoto
feeling an itchy feeling on its arm it looks down only to see Yamamoto running its arms his pace astonishing. Upon reaching his destination Yamamoto jumps off the arm of the tail beast and lands on its chest using his chakra to keep him glued to it
Sōkotsu (双骨, Double Bone)
And with that he strikes at the chest of the tail beast with his two fists. There was a moment of silence and before the tail beast could think he was repelled back by an unstoppable force smashing through trees and anything in its way only stopping when it brings his two fists down stopping its momentum
The Tail beast enraged beyond reasoning recklessly punching at the ground like an angry ape, Yamamoto initially confused at what the beast was doing suddenly feels something hot from under his feet prompting him to jump back only to be left shocked as he see lava gushing out from where he stood and gushing out Fast.
without wasting a second He makes a run for it with the lava trailing right behind him reaching the areas where there are still treess he jumps on them not spending a full second on one before jumping on another one using his sword as support in trees that didn't have branches to jump on.
Making a U-turn Yamamoto jumps in the air and dives to where the four tails it knowing the beast won't be dumb enough to send lave to where it is but Yamamoto had underestimated the beast intelligence as the four tails threw a massive Boulder covered in lava at him when seeing Yamamoto diving towards it.
Onibi (鬼火, Oni Fire)
Just when the four tails thought it got Yamamoto, a sound of explosion happens and a hole appears in the middle of the boulder with Yamamoto passing through the hole with ease diving straight at the four tails
The four tails seeing Yamamoto dive at him throws a punch at him its eye filled with murder intent as it was extremely tough killing the human infront of it
Ikkotsu (一骨, Single Bone)
Yamamoto not wanting to be outdone also threw a punch right back at it ther impact of their two fist creating a shocking that destroyed the nearby areas, without wasting a beat Yamamoto flips on the four tails arms and starts running on it 'Wearing it down should be a good decision since killing it right now will be very hard to do'
And without wasting time he starts slicing the Four tails arms leaving slice marks and scortch marks wherever he strikes, the Four tails annoyed throws him on the but
Yamamoto not wanting to stop his momentum dashes at it again this time aiming at its legs.
The four tails uses its tail to attack Yamamoto but Yamamoto pumps by adrenaline dodges the ones he can while parrying the ones he couldn't, his movement flowing like that as a river but as fiery as that of wild flames still heading towards the beasts legs.
Hmmm?
Yamamoto who was about to reach the legs of the tail beast suddenly felt something wrong he could feel something in the area was sucking the chakra, feeling a bad premonition he looks up only to see the sour tails charging up a mini tail beast bomb
"Damn" He curses as he jumps up to the four tails aiming to disrupt it while its charging but he was too late as the four tails already released the tail beast bomb when it saw Yamamoto jumping
Not having anything else to do he cloaks his whole body and his sword with chakra and uses his sword to block the attack
the whole area went white and black and a mini explosion occurs affecting both Yamamoto and the tail beast as the both fly in the opposite
The Four tails with a new weariness towards Yamamoto carries a broken tree and throws it at Yamamoto.
Yamamoto despite the pain felt in his body carries his broken katana and coats it in fire cutting the incoming tree in half catching the tree with one hand, setting it one fire and throwing it back at the four tails,
The four tails not expecting the tree it threw to come back to it bears the brunt of the attack to the guts adding to its current pain. Wanting to stand up he is assaulted with another pain he never felt before, looking down he sees A deep slice mark on its legs with Yamamoto standing at its back with his sword drawn.
The Tailed beast about to fall down musters all its strength and manages to flip in the air and do an overhead kick aimed at Yamamoto but fails as Yamamoto manages to roll away in time
Yamamoto not wasting a beat runs up the tail beast legs and jumps high in the sky sending a flurry of fireball Jutsu at the Tailled beast in which the four tails just raises one of its tails to block them but that was what Yamamoto wanted a moment of distraction
"Time for the Final Blow" Yamamoto says as he enters a date of utter calm no distractions or thoughts disrupting him, only the four tailed beast in his sight.
Raising his Katana his once broken katana was now anew with flames extending from the broken part, his hair once orange was now burning with flames, dancing wildly in the air, his eyes now had flames all over them and smoke was leaking from his mouth with a fire arc on his back
Katon : Hinokami(火の神,Fire release: Fire Deity)
Seeing the fearsome appearance of Yamamoto the animal instinct of the beast went off warning him that if it does not stop this man now he will Die.
Falling from the sky Yamamoto lands on the Bijuu's Tail, not wasting a second he runs down the tail burning everywhere he sets his foot on due to the high temperature around him.
Not long after he started running the four tails attacks him with one of its tails but Yamamoto just slid, bending his back to the extreme as he watches the Tail brush past his nose.
Jumping up from the tail he was one he is met with another tail in which he just bends his body 36 degrees approximately to the west narrowly dodging the Attack but no sooner after that attack another tail comes after him but he just stabs the tail with his flame sword using it as a support to flip on the tail as he continues his run
sensing an attack from above he dashes forward and jumps up narrowly dodging the tailed attack coming from above
the four tails Getting desperate releases all its chakra causing the ground it was standing on to have spider web cracks as lava starts leaking from its body
landing on the ground Yamamoto was met with the four tails fist in front of his face and he knew that even with his heightened senses he couldn't dodge this with the injured body he had right now
just as things seemed to get dire an explosion happens at the back changing the direction of the fist. At the back of the four tails was an injured Akiko with tattered clothes, a bleeding arm and tears running down her face clearly she had been affected by the battle
"Chance!" Yamamoto exclaims as he brings out a wired kunai and throws it at the four tails chest using it to get himself on there.
"I won't waste an opportunity my disciple has given me" He says aiming his flame katana at the beast chest "May the flames grant you eternal rest"
Onibi (鬼火, Oni Fire)
And with one push he thrust his sword in the four tails chest channeling all his power to the move.
A thunderclap explosion sounds right before the entire area turns black and white time seemed to have frozen as every was completely and just like magic the world regains it color and a pillar of flame rises from where Yamamoto struck the pillar so tall it pass the clouds, tall enough for everyone in the whole land of fire to see it
after ten whole seconds the pillar disappears and what stands in its place is Yamamoto in the middle of a pile of ashes his form returns back to normal and his clothes long burnt showing off his streamlined muscles,
