Leticia recoiled, her bare feet staining with Karina's blood as it flowed across the floor like a dark, viscous tide. Terror filled her eyes as she fell to her knees, chanting, "No... No... I didn't." But she did. And But evidence laid before her.
Although she knew if she didn't kill Karina, the maid would not spare her. It was only right to kill her. Her heart pounded in her chest, threatening to shatter her very sanity. Tears welled up in her eyes, blurring her vision as she struggled to comprehend it all. She wanted to flee, to scream, to erase the memories of the past few minutes, but her body seemed rooted to the spot, paralyzed by shock and horror.
Just then, a loud bang shook the room, the door slamming against the wall with enough force to rattle the windows. She felt his presence fill the room and although it calmed her a little bit, still she didn't move. He's here.
