Devon leaned against the door of his sleek black Ferrari GTC4Lusso, eyes fixed on his phone. His driver stood by, ready to open the door. It was already 5 pm, and the event was set to start at 6 pm. He had been expecting Luis to arrive with Leticia, but they were running two minutes late. Just as he was about to lose his patience and fetch her himself, a calm voice broke the silence, followed by footsteps.

"We're here. Don't flare," Luis said, releasing Leticia's hand and walking away, accustomed to Devon's moods.

"Took you long enough." Devon's dark eyes glared coldly at the Vampire who just let go of Leticia's hand and walked away, already accustomed to him.
