Setting academic performance aside, just the handwriting alone was enough to catch one's eye.

Many students have sloppy handwriting, making it more difficult for teachers to grade assignments. When a student has nice handwriting, grading their work is like appreciating art; it has a more pleasant visual appeal.

After admiring Shen Mianmian's handwriting for a moment, the focus shifted to the problems Shen Mianmian had solved.

Glancing at a few of the problems, they were all correct. Is this the work of a poor student?

Just from these questions, it didn't seem like something a poor student would be able to do!

Shen Mianmian had almost finished the first page of her test, and the score for these questions alone added up to at least fifty points. Even if all the answers on the following pages were wrong, she could still score around sixty points.

In that case, her performance wasn't very good, but it was a far cry from the bottom ranks they had been talking about.
