บท 169: Explosion

The next morning, I woke up to the sound of an explosion that shook the very walls of the castle. My eyes snapped open, heart racing. Beside me, Eileen also jolted awake, her eyes wide with alarm.

We were still naked, our clothes scattered haphazardly around the room from the previous night's activities. Eileen's body bore the evidence of our passion—several hickeys marked her neck and collarbone, dark against her pale skin. She looked at me, concern mirrored in her green eyes.

"Was that an attack?" she asked, her voice tinged with both fear and urgency.

"I don't know," I replied, already scrambling out of bed. We quickly dressed, throwing on whatever clothes we could find. I pulled on a pair of pants and a shirt, while Eileen found her dress from the night before. The dress was a little wrinkled and askew, but we didn't have time to worry about appearances.
