Cara's dad had finally finished her hammer and she was really impressed by it.

The hammer was made of copper like everyone else's her age but her dad had somehow changed its shade to a bit more red which she loved, the handle was long and had a curved design on it which improved its grip, and it fitted her fingers perfectly.
"How did you get the color to change like this?" she asked.
"You just have to let the outer surface locked up in moist air for some time while it is red hot, it will trap oxygen and water in it and it will become like this, now try to swing it," he said.
Cara grabbed it with both hands from the farthest end of the handle and with a huff started swinging it round and round. Once it got into motion she could feel the momentum it was gathering and due to the perfect weight distribution she knew if she hit the walls of her house with the hammor right now they would easily crumble.
"See what I am talking about, that is what's going to help you win the fight tomorrow," he said.
"But will one day be enough to practice with it?" she asked.
"The hammer is an important part for us, it's our family's crest, but it is at the end of the day a tool, you have been strengthening your body and mind since now, and you have used mine and your mother's hammers before, one day would be more than enough," he said.
"I can't wait to become a jade like you and upgrade my hammer," she said.

Cara ran down to the bottom levels, they had planned to meet under the mushroom rock, it was a very funnily shaped rock inside the mountain which had become a popular hanging place.
She saw her friends other coppers like her Flint, Morris, Troy, Venena, Gevine, and Roisine. Only Roisine was from the same clan as her and so she also had a hammer. Venena and Flint both had axes, Morris had a shovel on his back, one of the lamest crests but never make fun of it in front of her dad or mom, like most seniors considered every weapon equally important, Gevine had a shield and the last was Troy he had a trident, it was one of the coolest weapons and Troy was indeed one of the coolest in their year, he was a prodigy and elder Rahm really favored him and had already declared that he will be the future of their clan. Although there were different clans in their clan based on their family crests but all the dwarves living in the Waraul mountain formed a larger clan, During the festival clans from other mountains would come to show off their might, the festival happened every year and they rotated which mountain would host it. The festival preparations had already started months ago and Troy was going to be Elder Rahm's ace to show off to other clan elders. And this was why Roisin was always trying to get Troy's attention. It made her hate Roisin even more.
Flint and Venena spotted her coming and saw the big hammer on her back and they ran towards her.
"Wow, Cara, it looks amazing," said Vevena.
"Yeah, Roisin's looks like a needle compared to this," said Flint winking.
"I can't wait to see her face when she looks at this," said Flint.
"You will have to wait until she stops trying to get Troy to take her to the festival with him," said Vevena.
"Oh god, is she trying to do that now?" asked Cara.
"Yeah, she keeps dropping hints, and look at the clothes she has on today, her tits are going to pop out any second now," said Vevean.
"Yeah, I can see them from here, wonder what she will wear tomorrow then," said Cara.
After all the fights would be over and the elders would be intermingling among themselves and discussing important things, it's one of those rare times when they all become too busy, they will all be in one place and won't come out for hours, which will leave the younger people to do whatever they want and it had become tradition to host secret parties in that time, and things get wild, she had first heard something about it when her brother was copper, they had traveled to the Finron Mountain for the festival, after the fights were over, she had wanted to stay with him but he had gone off making her promise not to tell their parents that he had left her. Since it was their first time they were all nervous about the parties as well as the fights, especially Cara, Flint, and Vevean, the three of them were best buddies and were good rule followers, but they had decided together that this was something they should do since everybody will be there. There will be students from other clans there too, although there was a lot of competitiveness among the mountains, especially among the elders, it resulted in bloody fights too sometimes, but the occasion of not having an elder was too big that a pact had been formed between them, she wondered who were the ones who started this tradition.
Cara had thought this was all a bit exaggerated until Vevean's older sister had taken her to the human city nearest to buy some clothes for the occasion. Vevean had shown her the dress and she couldn't believe that her innocent friend was going to wear that.
"Layla promised me half of her allowance if I wore it, and she told me everyone would be dressed like this, it was pretty common, it can't be that bad if it's so popular, it can't hurt to let loose for a while," she had said when Cara had asked her about it.
Cara couldn't think about wearing something like that, and she didn't have an elder sister to help her out with this, what if her mother found the dress in her room?
"Anyway, we have already decided that we will all be going together and staying together," said Flint.
They went back to the others, Roisin made a nasty face when she saw her hammer. Morris and Troy congratulated her for getting such an amazing hammer. The conversation turned back to after the festival since Roisin kept talking about it. Cara was less interested in the parties also because Troy wasn't going to be there since Elder Rahm would be keeping him by her side during the meetings, but he then said that Elder Rahm had sent a message this morning that he wouldn't be able to do that, so he would be coming. Roisin's face again went back to smiling, which had stopped after seeing Cara's hammer, she was definitely going to seduce Troy at the party, and there wouldn't be any elder's threat so she would be going all out. Now Cara suddenly was much more interested in the parties herself.
