Takeuchi didn't have to wait long.

Malyn returned, her arms packed with a stack of books, each one seeming to weigh her down with ancient knowledge.

"Have you heard about the learning ranks?" Malyn asked, placing the books down on the wooden table with a heavy thud that echoed in the room.

"Yes, I have. They go from pupils to Arc Magi. Master Ivy told me," Takeuchi replied, his voice steady.

"Don't mention another Arc Magi's lessons. Remember your oath," Malyn said, her tone sharp as a blade.

"Sorry, that was careless of me," Takeuchi muttered, feeling the sting of his mistake seeping into his bones.

Takeuchi didn't fully grasp the danger of revealing what another arc magi had taught him, but he swore to be more careful next time.

The weight of his oath hung heavily on him, a constant reminder of the consequences.

Damn it, my bad... Takeuchi thought, silently cursing himself for his slip-up.
