"The guts on that guy" Hal said to pacify the now heavy environment.
All of them understood why the atmosphere was this tense and it was for a simple reason, they were worried about their people. Diana was a princess and she had a people.
A people she had yet to see, She like Superman could fly through the vacuum of space unprotected, she had searched every ship around them and yet she had yet to find a single Amazon.
Orin sat at the back with his hands covering his face, it was hard to tell if he was asleep or just worried about his people but it was obviously the latter.
He too had yet to see a single Atlantian in any of the ships; they were all humans. Everyone in the ship understood why they were moody and truthfully, all knew they were handling it quite well.
[Oh Good, i can still reach you guys] A new voice was heard in the room as all turned their attention to it
Looking at the source, they all saw a familiar figure but it was hardly recognizable. From the once premium and awesome looking robot, Nathan now looked like something found in the junkyard.
Many parts of his body were missing, there was a literal hole in his face that seemed to be healing? His hand was misshapen and there was a lot more.
In simple terms, Nathan didn't look like the android he once looked like, he looked like he just crawled out of the trash but the smile on his face brought a weird calmness to the room.
"Victor?" Superman asked
[Yeah..] Nathan laughed painfully
His entire existence now was painful and Death wasn't his style, so the best he could do now was endure the pain and continue to live. How he was even feeling the pain was beyond him but the opponent had been Darkseid… the entire situation was beyond him.
"Dude, what happened to you?" Hal asked as he flew closer to the hologram image
[I won] Nathan replied
"Um, Victor, if I may ask, where are the Amazons and Atlanteans?" Superman asked on behalf of the two
Nathan may be fully occupied with trying to keep himself alive at the moment, however, even he could sense the murderous intent in the air.
Diana was a goddess known for her 'humanity' and Aquaman had to be the most 'human-loving' hero there is but even so they were not human… at least not entirely.
Diana had her own people and if they perished when he clearly had the power to have saved them then it would definitely leave a bad taste in her mouth
Orin was much more clear… he saved humans but didn't save Atlanteans then he was against them.
[On cloaked ships, they are secret civilizations… imagine a human looking out and seeing one of the Atlanteans] Nathan replied as he conjured several holographic screens
One of them showed the Amazons as who were surprisingly calmer than Nathan had thought, the other showed the Atlanteans in the specialized ships they were in.
