บท 99: 19. Kärleken Väntar (Love waits.)

This awakening had been quite shock for me. But i had no choice than obey Damon. Clad in my nightgown, he guided me to the kitchen. The aroma of food filled the air, enticing my appetite. I ate eagerly, aware that my nourishment was vital for the growing babies.

Mariela engaged in conversation with Damon, and I found comfort in their interaction. As I finished my meal, I noticed that Mariella and Damon had already left. Several Salvatores were bustling about the kitchen, preparing dinner. One by one, everyone began disappearing, their destinations unknown. I ventured into the hamster warehouse, curious to explore. I recalled ordering baby supplies and anticipated the arrival of more.

I actually had an existing children's supply warehouse, but it wasn't in this house, and I didn't know if it had been unloaded yet. But then I went into the hamster storage and started working. But I didn't get more than three hours when number four came in and said that was too much work. The disappointment washed over me, leaving a bitter taste in my mouth.

So I didn't work on it and went to make bouquets. The vibrant colors of the flowers brightened the room, and the sweet scent of roses filled the air. I had time to do them for four hours when now number three came and said that I shouldn't always be on my feet.

The exhaustion settled in my bones, making each step heavier than the last. I had to go to dinner. Fine, let's be patient. That doesn't mean I've completely lost my autonomy, so no, it shouldn't get on my nerves that much, either.

It just seemed like over the next few days, the best thing for me to do, according to them, was to lie in bed and watch TV, but while I could still function and do things, I didn't want to lie in bed. The time for that would come later.

Number one and Mariella did all sorts of things. They weren't constantly engaged in fucking each other's brains out. They were making up rooms. The sound of Mariella's voice and Damon's grunts, the smell of their magic echoed through the house as they transformed into each space.

They even spent some time in the hamster storage room. Mariella mostly sat around while Damon sorted through boxes, the rustling of cardboard filling the room. Really, I'd never really seen that before. But that didn't bother me at all.

I'd found something to do, something I could do, crafts, so I retreated to the craft room again to knit. The soft yarn slipped through my fingers, bringing comfort and familiarity. Still, I had some patches left in the stash, so I made myself a patchwork quilt. The different textures of fabric created a mosaic of sensations under my fingertips.

However, it wasn't so terribly cold here now that I needed them. I always put them in the cupboard, where I could take them out if I were in a house where it was cold. I never advertised or showed them to anyone, never gave them to anyone. They were mine.

I was knitting children's clothes when Mariela and Damon came into the room. The click of the knitting needles filled the silence as I focused on my task.

"Oh, knitting," Damon said.

I looked at my husband and flatly replied, "Well, yes, this is one job I get to do. When they are Salvatores, they think I should lie in bed and not do anything. I'm just sitting there, and I can still do something."

Damon's hoarse laughter echoed through the room, filling the air with amusement.

"Well, they want to keep you and the babies safe, too," he chuckled. "But come eat again, baby, once in a while. You don't always eat as diligently as you should."

The scent of food wafted from the nearby table, tempting and inviting.

"But don't worry," he reassured, his voice tinged with a hint of amusement. "As you can see, Mariella and I are doing many things here, so we're going to eat now."

I could envision how plates clinked as they were set on the table, accompanied by the sound of cutlery against porcelain.

"Then we can see what you've been knitting here," Damon continued, drawing closer to me.

His gaze met mine, and I could sense a touch of curiosity in his eyes.

"What can we use them all for?" he pondered aloud.

The soft touch of wool brushed against my skin as he reached out to examine my creations.

"Look, we have a new attitude here now: the pack first," he explained, his voice filled with determination.

The sound of knitting needles clicking together provided a comforting background rhythm.

"So now, for example, we're going to closely examine your little knits, quilts, and so on." He said, calmly, but dominantly.

The scent of freshly laundered fabric filled the room as he opened the cupboard. "The name of the game is that the pack shares everything." The sound of his words hung in the air, firm and unwavering. "And the pack should know if we have, for example, knitted quilts available somewhere in the cupboard."

A chill breeze brushed against my skin, reminding me of the cold house he mentioned. "If we're in a cold house somewhere and we want to put one of those quilts in one bed."

He seemed to read my thoughts effortlessly, a testament to his telepathic abilities. The thought crossed my mind that Mariella was usually the one advocating for sharing, making me wonder if this idea was entirely Damon's.

But he continued to talk, his voice filled with contemplation. "Or if we have a lot of ready-made baby clothes."

The scent of freshly washed fabric lingered in the air, mixed with the warmth of anticipation.

He spoke softly, yet he was the leader of the pack.

His words are law, "We're only having six babies, and that pile you made." A sense of pride welled up within me, knowing that my creations would be put to good use. "Those kids would wear those clothes for a year." The soft touch of tiny garments brushed against my fingertips, reminding me of their delicate nature.

"And as you know, our babies are growing fast, but I don't doubt at all that you've made bigger clothes." The anticipation of new life filled the room, mingling with the scent of hope and excitement.

"But since the rest of us have babies on the way, I'll share a little bit of those clothes." His words held an air of finality, leaving no room for argument.

Mariella's triumphant expression mirrored his determination.

Damon closed the distance between us, his voice now a gentle murmur. "But first things first, we're going out to eat. And we'll eat properly."

The aroma of a delicious meal filled the air, making my stomach growl in response. "Now look, baby, why don't you stand up, and I'll feel your tummy a little bit." His warm touch against my skin sent a shiver down my spine. "Yeah, there's still room here, and when you get some of your liquid food, you'll get some food."

The anticipation of nourishment filled the room, accompanied by the sound of my stomach rumbling. "Now, I don't want you to be only 40 kilos after this pregnancy."

His words held a touch of concern, mixed with a hint of playfulness. "Now it would be very good that it is your weight after this time started at five or perfect then at 6."

A sense of determination filled his voice, urging me to take care of myself. "Then we can look a little while later for a new heat."

The warmth of his presence enveloped me, providing comfort and reassurance. "The kind where you are in it too, and then you are a fool to suffer now for three months in pain and agony and not say you have a heat too."

The scent of familiarity and love filled the room, mingling with the sound of his heartbeat in my ears. "You could have used some help. You're a really stupid Mimi."

A mix of affection and exasperation colored his words, reminding me of our shared experiences. "But it's good to see that even you sometimes have pride in such insignificant problems that you can't admit it outright." A sense of understanding passed between us, unspoken yet deeply felt.

"But here we learn everything." The room seemed to fill with knowledge and growth, an atmosphere of continuous discovery. "Now I'm going to take you to dinner, sweetheart. Come."

The invitation hung in the air, accompanied by the sound of his hand reaching out for mine.

One thing that struck me about the new Damon was his penchant for using a plethora of nicknames to refer to me. It wasn't just limited to the usual "Mimi" or "Baby," he had a wide range of names for me.

As we made our way to dinner, I followed Damon and Mariella, and the moment I stepped into the dining room, my senses were overwhelmed. The aroma of food filled the air, and I couldn't help but feel a surge of gratitude as I realized Salvatore had made sure my stomach would be satisfied.

The dishes before me were a mix of pureed liquid food, each one prepared meticulously to ensure nourishment. As I sat there, I observed Salvatore watching over Mariella and Mimosa. I heard that Shadow, was fast asleep, most likely tired from ignoring Damon's commands. Determined not to succumb to sleep myself, I made an effort to behave well. No need for flanks of any size for me.

Once we finished our meal, we returned to the craft room. Salvatore took the opportunity to organize every closet meticulously, relocating my blankets to the linen closet and distributing the baby clothes among everyone. To my surprise, my nursery wasn't located where I had initially expected it to be.

Damon had created it in a completely different room, putting his own touch on it. Nevertheless, I still had some beaded ornaments I had planned to turn into mobiles. I recalled how babies are often fascinated by mobiles and how they can stimulate them.

Spending my time in the bead room, I realized Mariella had a penchant for passionate fucking during her pregnancies, but I never insisted on it. It was a whole different story with kittens; their presence seemed to stir something hormonal within me, driving me to seek out sexual encounters.

However, I had plenty of time to focus on crafting the beaded animals and assembling the mobiles. I carefully selected the most beautiful ones, intending to hang them above the beds. However, I faced a minor challenge - finding a way to suspend them from the ceiling.

Thankfully, I had the tools at hand, including a ladder, a drill, and ring bolts. With my expertise in using a drill and a supply of ring bolts, I had no trouble overcoming this obstacle. Additionally, I had my mobile with various mechanisms that allowed them to rotate and play different songs.

I still had a couple of hundred mechanisms left over, so I randomly chose which mobiles to attach them to. The process involved a fair amount of deliberation and decision-making to ensure the perfect match for my babies.

Finally, I made my way to the nearby tool room. There, I gathered the required ring bolts and a drilling machine, making sure to put the latter on the charger. I also stocked up on drill bits, carefully examining the different materials used for the roofs, and determining the specific bolts and blades needed for the task. I tried to remember what ceiling is made out of, so I could have the right equipment.

To aid me in my work, I brought along a long ladder resembling a kitchen stool. I collected all my supplies, feeling their weight in my hands, and began walking with the ladder tucked under my arm towards the children's room. As I made my way, Damon and Mariela intercepted me.

The scowl on Salvatore's face lingered as he looked at me and sharply asked, "Baby, what the fuck are you going to do now?"

His voice cut through the air like a knife.

I glanced at Damon, meeting his gaze, and calmly replied, "I'm just doing a little drilling. Gotta hang these mobiles up, you see."

Damon's eyes shifted towards the mobiles, studying them for a moment before he inquired, "Do you have any more of these?"

I nodded, confirming their availability.

He suggested, "Let's go and have a look at all the mobiles first. We'll choose the ones for our babies together. Then, we'll consider the mobiles for the other women, for their babies too."

Mariela and I exchanged glances, knowing the significance of this moment.

Damon continued, "Mariela and I have five babies, and the wolves have seven babies each. So I know how many mobiles I'm going to reserve for each room. And then, I think you have more baby clothes. Branded clothes, maybe. We'll go through them fairly, all of us together. You have to be fair, baby. It's not just about me anymore. But don't worry, as the oldest alpha female, I'll make sure you get nice baby clothes, and our babies get what they need too. You don't have to fear being left with what's left over. You'll witness how we share everything in this pack."

We began by visiting the bead room to explore the remaining mobiles. We took our time, listening to the soothing melodies and identifying the different animals in each one. There were loose animals that Mariela and the wolves wanted to swap, and Damon skillfully created mobiles for everyone. I didn't mind what I did; it didn't matter to me. I let Damon select our baby mobiles, trusting his judgment.

After examining the mobiles, we proceeded to the walk-in closet where the baby clothes were stored. The sight of many boxes excited us, and we eagerly began sifting through them, marveling at the tiny outfits and meticulously folding them. I had taken the time to wash each baby's garment beforehand, ensuring they were free of any chemical residue. Mariela couldn't help but wonder how I had such spacious washing machines, expressing her amazement.

I gazed at Mariella, taking in her appearance for a moment before speaking. "You and Damon make use of the laundry service at the magic house. Do you also rely on it? Well, I prefer to handle my laundry. Something is soothing about doing it while on vacation. And when the baby clothes pile up, it's convenient to toss them into a gigantic washing machine and clean them all at once. Afterward, I neatly pack them into bags, ready to be sorted into the closets when needed. But for now, they're all set. No need to worry about washing them anymore."

I looked at their amazed expressions and told them some more, " If you need any baby bottles, pacifiers, pacifier strips, or other supplies, I have them available. I'm not sure if there's a baby supply store nearby anymore, as everything seems to go to the magic house. That's why I have these items on hand. However, I do have my stock, and if it's useful for the pack, then it's yours to use."

Damon stared at me for a while before responding, "Well, that's great. We definitely need supplies, and it's a relief to know the baby clothes are already washed. I'll assign numbers two, five, and seven to choose the baby clothes. Adam and Charles can handle picking out the diapers and cleaning products. The boys can decide on the pacifiers, pacifier bottles, and pacifier strips."

He paused as he collected his thoughts or distributed his orders to pack members.

He continued," You see, these babies are part of our pack, our pack's children, our little puppies. That's why the entire pack is involved in this task. And eventually, when the time comes, whether it's through birth or surgery, I haven't decided yet. I haven't determined if you'll undergo an operation or give birth. It's solely my decision, and I don't seek opinions on this matter. Mariella and the wolves are aware of this. They're used to it. But you, my lady, may find it challenging, but don't worry. I'll guide you through it."

"Oh, how thoughtful? Let's allow the husband to make all the decisions for us," I sarcastically remarked in my mind.

So, we decided to go out for dinner once again. With only a week left, I had no idea how close the other females were to me in terms of their pregnancies. Would we all give birth on the same day or not? Only time will tell.

After Salvatore ensured, I was well-fed, hydrated, and had his hands exploring my pregnant belly once more, he grunted slightly in annoyance. My body was quite occupied with these eager little babies, and I knew that regardless of how well I ate, the toll of a four-week fast pregnancy was unavoidable. However, I chose not to mention it to Salvatore.

Let him remember things again, but I'll get better. My milk production was again kept in check, i.e., not allowed, and we had frozen milk or formula. After the meal, the couple retired to the bedroom again, and I went off to be good and watch a movie. There is a week to go, and this week will be the most demanding.
