We reached the courtyard and found it deserted, the guards having rushed to the front gate in response to Gandalf's diversion. I signaled to my team, and we spread out, taking in our surroundings. The courtyard was large and open, with tall stone walls and several key structures that housed the outpost's defenses. There were weapon racks, storage sheds, and a central tower that loomed over everything like a silent sentinel.
"Alright," I whispered, gathering my team around me. "Our first priority is to disable their alarm system. Without that, they can't call for reinforcements. Then we take out the ballistae on the walls. Everyone clear?"
My team nodded, determination etched on their faces. Each of them had fought alongside me in countless battles, and I trusted them with my life.
"Let's move," I said, my voice barely audible.
