บท 209: Busted

VALENCIA'S POV

"Where is the place?" I asked the girl, holding her shoulders.

I could see the fear in her eyes, but I couldn't care less about being gentle when my friend was ready to lose his head over something that wasn't his fault. 

He came here to search for my pack members, and though he might have lost his mind because he probably remembered his mate and what happened to her and entered the forests, it didn't matter. 

"I... I... In the middle of the pack. There is a place where people are punished publicly to maintain the law and order," the girl stuttered.

To maintain law and order, my ass. They just want to keep people fearful.

"Thank you," I said to her before pulling a candy out of my pocket and forcing it into her hand.

"This must be exotic for you. It's good. Try it," I said before I turned around, hearing the collective sound of people coming towards us.
