VALENCIA'S POV

"Give that to me," I said, snatching my phone back before he could turn it and read its contents. 

Maverick looked at me with a neutral expression. He didn't say anything, but the hurt emotion in his eyes as I lunged at him to grab my phone was evident.

I know he must have thought I was hiding something from him, and though it was true, how was I supposed to tell him that it wasn't about any man?

"You can't see a lady's messages like this. We were talking about undergarments," I hushed while looking at Dylan and Carl to make him believe I was afraid they would hear it.

Maverick's expression immediately calmed, and he sighed before shaking his head at me.

"Are you going somewhere tonight?" He asked, and I nodded, telling him I planned to go clubbing with my friends. 

He hummed before flicking my nose.
