In a lavish penthouse suite in Beijing's affluent district, Huang Jiang sat regally in his plush armchair, surrounded by the very people he knew would covet his vast empire. His younger brother, Huang Chenglong, and Chenglong's family had gathered under the guise of concern for Huang Jiang's ailing health, but their true motives were as transparent as glass.

Huang Jiang's sharp gaze swept over their faces, reading the greed simmering beneath their practiced expressions of care. Chenglong, his eyes darting around the opulent room, practically salivating at the prospect of inheriting the Huang empire. Jun, Chenglong's son, wore a sycophantic smile, no doubt envisioning himself as the next patriarch. Even Jun's wife, Feng Xiaojie, and their children, Huang Kun and Huang Fang, could barely conceal their avarice.

A wry smile tugged at Huang Jiang's lips. Little did this greedy bunch know, he had been one step ahead of their machinations all along.
