Day 89, night, clear weather, temperature -51°C.
During the thirty-five days of offense and defense, both camps in this icy snowscape had established their own sets of survival rules. Over these days, there had been alternating attacks and defenses, and they actually reached a dynamic equilibrium. However, the highly tense nerves also made them suffer tremendously within this balance.
First and foremost, the Cavalry Camp, driven by food scarcity, would raid mercilessly. Their strategic and mobile capabilities made them exceptionally agile on the ice fields, increasing the challenge for the Shelter Camp's survival. In self-defense, the Shelter Camp also conducted regular counterattacks, with Xv Mengmeng and Qin Shaofeng—two combat powerhouses—leading these. The only choice for the Cavalry Camp during these counterattacks was to run, but whenever they went out on patrol, small groups of Cavalry would inevitably burst in for localized raids.
