Ch 156 Lostbelt kings?
In the capital of this Lostbelt was a palace, the palace was made after the war of the Mahabharata inside that Palace was seating a man, he has red hair like fire, a beautiful face that was beauti it self, he has snow white skinn or skinny as white as the colour white, he was wearing a royal outfit that first his title, on his ears was karma ear ring, the sun was landing on his head but his eyes was close almost like he was thinking something
Hey Karna you awake.
Karna opens his eyss to the person who called him, he had purple hair with one side curved snd falling down wearing a smiler royal outfit ns Holding a red spear.
Karna just looked at the man. "What is Duryodhana".
Duryodhana leaned casually against the grand doorway, his red spear resting lightly on his shoulder. His gaze was sharp, yet there was a playful glint in his eyes as he regarded Karna.
"You're really lost in thought, aren't you? The capital is buzzing with rumours about strange visitors, and here you are, deep in contemplation," Duryodhana remarked, his tone half-teasing, half-serious.
Karna slowly sat up, the sunlight cascading off his fiery red hair, creating an almost divine aura around him. His expression remained calm and measured, though there was a hint of curiosity in his eyes. "And what do these rumours say?"
Duryodhana straightened up, his spear now at his side. "They say the visitors claim to be from another world, one beyond this lostbelt. They talk of heroes and gods, and of battles that shake the very foundations of reality."
Karna's eyes narrowed slightly, processing the information. "Another world... It seems the threads of fate are more tangled than we thought."
Duryodhana nodded, his playful demeanor giving way to a more serious one. "Indeed. If these visitors are who they claim to be, it could mean trouble for us. The last thing we need is a disruption in the balance we've maintained since the end of the war."
Karna stood up, his movements fluid and graceful. He walked towards the grand windows of the palace, looking out over the capital. "We should keep an eye on them. If they pose a threat, we'll deal with them accordingly. But for now, let's observe."
Duryodhana grinned, spinning his spear before resting it against his shoulder again. "You always were the cautious one, Karna. Fine, we'll watch and wait. But if it comes to a fight... you know I'm always ready."
Karna allowed a small, almost imperceptible smile to cross his lips. "I know. And that's why I trust you to stand by my side, no matter what comes."
The two warriors stood in silence for a moment, each lost in their own thoughts. The sun continued to pour through the palace windows, casting long shadows across the room, as the winds of change began to stir in the lostbelt.
Back with Ritsuka and his group they were talking to eachother
Kadoc looked at everyone before he spoke. "So from what we know, the timeline changed During the Mahabharata where the Pandava lost, and do to that it let to a doom timline".
Arjuna and Bhima noded his head. "Yes because the gods agreed that to win the war and best option was our family but it didn't go so well, why we that".
Ritsuka looked at Arjuna. "Probably because in this timeline you actually gave Karna reb Chance to get his chariot out of the mud, which mean it allows him to kill you, or I think".
Arjuna furrowed his brows, deep in thought. "That would explain a lot. If I allowed Karna the chance to free his chariot, then the course of the battle—and the war itself—would've drastically shifted in his favour. It would make sense that the Pandavas lost."
Bhima clenched his fists, frustration evident on his face. "But that means everything we fought for, everything we suffered through, was in vain. How could the gods let that happen?"
Ritsuka sighed, understanding the weight of their realizations. "It's not that the gods wanted it to happen, but timelines like these often come from small changes that snowball into something catastrophic. In this lostbelt, that one act of mercy or fairness altered everything. The Pandavas' defeat led to a world where, instead of justice and dharma prevailing, something much darker took hold."
Kadoc crossed his arms, pondering the situation. "So, Karna becomes the hero, the Kauravas win, and the world plunges into chaos. The gods probably thought they were favouring the side of righteousness by ensuring the Pandavas' victory in our timeline. But here... it's the exact opposite."
Arjuna glanced at Ritsuka. "If that's the case, then Karna would have gained even more power. He'd become the hero of this world, but a hero in a world that fell into darkness."
Ritsuka nodded. "Right. And if this timeline was already doomed by that point, then the gods' intervention might have made things worse instead of better. We need to understand more about how this timeline diverged and what we're really up against here."
Bhima looked around at his companions, determination settling in his eyes. "We can't let this lostbelt continue to exist. It's a twisted version of our world, one where the wrong side won. We need to find a way to set things right."
Kadoc sighed, feeling the weight of their mission. "Yeah, but first, we need to gather more information. We can't just charge in without knowing exactly what we're dealing with."
Mash nodded in agreement. "We should investigate the key events that led to this timeline's creation. If we can figure out the critical points where history diverged, we might be able to understand how to fix it."
Ritsuka smiled softly at his team. "Exactly. We've faced impossible odds before, and we've always found a way. Let's figure this out together, and make sure this lostbelt doesn't have the final say."
Ophelia then spoke. "But this makes no sense<, Karna is not the type to just plug the world into darkness, heck he is your brother which makes him a Pandava, plus he is the hero of Charity".
Kadoc just looked at her. "You do relish he had done some hanes shit, like how Slavery was allows in his kingdom, or how he tryed to burn the Pandava and his mother".
Bhima then spoke. "Ok all of those are still Duryodhana fault not really Much id Karna even do yes we all done some hanes shit, but yes even if Karna won he wouldn't plug the world to darkness".
Rama then spoke. "So we are back to square one again".
Ritsuka rubbed his temples, trying to piece together the puzzle. "Ophelia's right—Karna isn't the type to let the world fall into chaos. Even if he won, he would have tried to rule justly, or at least to uphold dharma in his own way."
Arjuna nodded, his expression conflicted. "Karna may have been my rival, but he was a man of honour. He wouldn't have let the world descend into darkness, not if he had the power to stop it. So something else must have happened after our defeat."
Kadoc sighed, running a hand through his hair. "This lostbelt isn't just about one event. It's a whole timeline that diverged drastically. There could be other factors we're not seeing, something or someone that pushed the world further into chaos after the Kauravas' victory."
Rama crossed his arms, looking frustrated. "If Karna didn't cause this darkness, then who did? And more importantly, why? What happened after the war that turned this world into a lostbelt?"
Bhima looked at his companions, determination burning in his eyes. "We need to find out what happened after the war. If Karna wasn't the one who brought darkness to this world, then someone else must have taken advantage of the situation. We need to uncover the truth."
Ophelia nodded in agreement. "We should investigate the key events that followed the Kauravas' victory. Something or someone must have influenced the course of history in a way that led to this lostbelt's creation."
Ritsuka took a deep breath, focusing on the task ahead. "Right. Let's gather as much information as we can. If we can find out who or what caused this darkness, we might be able to undo it. We've got to stay focused and work together if we're going to fix this."
Mash looked around at the group, her resolve firm. "We've faced impossible odds before, and we've always come out stronger. We can do this. Let's get to the bottom of this lostbelt and restore the balance."
With their mission clear, the group steeled themselves for the challenges ahead, determined to uncover the truth behind the lostbelt and put an end to the darkness that had taken hold.
"War, what does it really means, what does it mean to fight, what does it mean to be hero to Villain, a war that destroyed two whole family or will just one, a war that has brother fight brother, kingdom falling, the war that let to so much destruction, so why was that war started because of two Family being jealous of eachother and I was also jealous so I join the side of people that took me in, instead of going to the side of my Brother, I kill him and I won we won, and yeat this never felt right to me, they were ment to win not us, so what does it mean".
Another voice spoke sounding like a male. "My my my, I gotta say you really didn't like winning the war did you Karna".
Karna opened his eyes see the person he was talking to, it was Pepe the crypter of this Lostbelt. Karna's eyes met Pepe's, his gaze calm but filled with a deep-seated melancholy. "Yes, I was celebrated as a king, as the hero who led the Kauravas to victory. But victory felt hollow. I fought for what I believed was right at the time, but the cost... the cost was too great. I can still see the faces of those I lost, those I betrayed. My brothers, my family... the world we destroyed. What does it mean to be a hero when your actions lead to such devastation?"
Pepe, ever the enigma, tilted his head slightly, his expression thoughtful. "It's ironic, isn't it? The story of the Mahabharata, a tale where the lines between hero and villain blur so easily. You did what you thought was right, but in the end, the consequences were beyond what you could have imagined. That's the tragedy of war, Karna. It twists everything—morality, honour, even victory."
Karna sighed, his voice heavy with regret. "I chose loyalty over blood, duty over family. I thought I was doing the right thing by siding with Duryodhana, by standing with the Kauravas. But looking back, I wonder if I was simply driven by my own insecurities, my own desire for recognition and acceptance. And now, as I look over this kingdom, I see only the ruins of what once was. The war may have ended, but the scars it left behind... those will never fade."
Pepe smiled softly, though there was a hint of sadness in his eyes. "That's the burden you carry, Karna. The burden of a king, a warrior, a brother. But this is the path you chose, and now you must walk it to its end, wherever that may lead."
Karna nodded, his resolve firm but his heart heavy. "Yes, I will walk this path, but I cannot help but wonder... if I had chosen differently, would this world be any different? Would my brothers have lived, would the Pandavas have been victorious? Or was this fate always inevitable?"
Pepe placed a reassuring hand on Karna's shoulder. "Fate is a tricky thing, my friend. It has a way of binding us to certain outcomes, no matter how hard we try to escape them. But you—you're more than just a pawn in this game. You've got the power to shape your destiny, to make choices that matter. Perhaps the answer you're looking for isn't in the past, but in what you do next."
Karna looked out over his kingdom, the weight of his decisions pressing down on him like never before. "Perhaps you're right. The past is written in blood, but the future... the future is still mine to decide."
Pepe chuckled softly. "That's the spirit, Karna. Just remember, the path ahead won't be easy. But then again, nothing worth fighting for ever is."
Karna's gaze hardened, his resolve strengthening with each passing moment. "I will face whatever comes, and I will do so with honour. For my brothers, for my kingdom... and for the world that might still be saved."
Pepe then looked at Karna. "Also you and I are not so different, I said good bye to original name and also was the reason for the down fall of my entire bloodline, after all I will be that last of my twisted bloodline".
Karna's gaze softened as he looked at Pepe, understanding the weight of his words. "So, it seems that in this world, we both carry the burden of our family's demise. Our actions, our choices... they led to the end of those we held dear. It's a heavy price to pay, knowing that the blood of our families is on our hands."
Pepe nodded slowly, his usual playful demeanour replaced by a rare moment of sincerity. "Yes, Karna. I, too, have walked a path of destruction, one that led to the downfall of everything my family stood for. In a way, we are kindred spirits—both of us marked by our pasts, both of us trying to make sense of what we've done. But unlike you, I chose to leave behind my original name, my identity, to start anew. It was the only way I could bear the weight of my sins."
Karna studied Pepe, seeing a reflection of his own struggles in the cryptic man's eyes. "You chose to erase your past, to reinvent yourself. I respect that, Pepe. But for me, the past is something I cannot let go of. It defines who I am, for better or worse. The blood on my hands... it's a reminder of the price of my choices."
Pepe gave a small, almost sad smile. "And yet, here we are, standing on the edge of a world that shouldn't exist, bound by the consequences of our actions. Perhaps that's the lesson in all of this—that no matter how far we run, no matter how much we try to change, the past will always be a part of us."
Karna sighed, his expression resigned but resolute. "Yes, the past is inescapable. But perhaps, in acknowledging it, in facing it head-on, we can find a way to move forward. To atone, if not for our own sake, then for the sake of those who come after us."
Pepe's smile widened slightly, though it was tinged with sadness. "Atonement, huh? Maybe that's what we're both searching for, in our own ways. But atonement doesn't erase the past—it simply allows us to live with it."
Karna nodded in agreement, his gaze drifting out to the horizon. "True. But maybe, just maybe, by facing our pasts together, we can find a way to make peace with it. And in doing so, perhaps we can create a future that honours those we've lost."
Pepe's eyes sparkled with a mix of hope and sorrow as he regarded Karna. "Perhaps. But one thing's for sure, Karna—we're in this together now. And whatever comes next, we'll face it as comrades, not as enemies."
Karna met Pepe's gaze, a newfound sense of camaraderie forming between them. "Yes, as comrades. No matter how dark our pasts may be, we'll face the future together."
As they stood side by side, two warriors bound by their shared burdens, the world around them seemed to grow just a little bit brighter. In that moment, they both knew that while the road ahead would be difficult, they would not walk it alone.
