After about 10 minutes of mentally preparing himself and putting his gun and the power source into his bag, he finally gathered the courage to start his descent. His body ached even more as he hadn't moved for a while, but he brushed off the pain and kept moving.
Finally, he was down.
The sunlight cast long shadows across the ground, and he scanned the surrounding areas for any sign of danger. Thankfully, there was none.
With that, he began walking towards the main gate, but when he got to the exit, there still wasn't any sign of Logan.
This was strange. Logan had specifically told him to wait here to be picked up. If he had thought he was dead, that could only mean he left without him. Kia groaned. How was he going to get back with the others?
He could walk it, but that would take forever, and now he was too weak. His stomach growled again, reminding him he was also starving. Just great! To think things couldn't get any worse for him.
