บท 60: SNEAKED OUT

NIKO'S POV

The grin on my face remained plastered the whole day after I caused a ruckus with my announcements in the coven council hall. Talon and Silas kept bursting out in laughter as we played chess that evening. When they retired to their rooms, I walked to the garden and found Advisor Maxwell watching the stars and singing happily. He must have sensed my presence as he stood up and bowed even before I made my way to the chair in the garden.

" Your majesty " Advisor Maxwell's voice was laced with laughter.

" Rise Advisor Maxwell. Is there an infectious bug of laughter going around " I scolded him as I sat down and he followed suit.

" Your majesty, today you made us happy. I can assure you, that even if they plot against you, they will have to think twice. You pulled the rug from under their feet "

" You are enjoying this way too much " I chuckled.
