Finrod found Elessar's love for the bug strange, it was ugly and scary looking not to mention aggressive. It wasn't to be trusted and what if it broke out of Elessar's control or what if she died?
The thought of fighting demons remained in Finrod's mind, he was at an unease and the information he got about Demons being nocturnal and possibly more powerful frightened him and yet he craved to fight some.
'I have to get more arrows and a quiver as well.' he thought looking at the Funari sitting.
"Do the demons come here at night time? Will they come soon?"
Elessar turned her neck and casually responded, "Yes, I have to get ready. They are more ferocious at night time, I'll be sure to kill every that approaches this time around."
"I'll help." Finrod declared like a chivalrous knight with his right hand on his chest.
"You don't need to worry about that, they don't attack in packs contrary to their first ambush. Many would be pushed away just based on the fact that we are many, but we can't always rely on that."
Finrod gave an affirmative nod, his blood boiling for some action, unknown to him, he was asking for the deaths of Funari as well.
He walked to the side of the hut once more, isolated in between trees and a wall of wood behind him.
'I should be able to tap into more power, into the elements like Ener did.'
He closed his eyes focusing on channeling mana from his core all through the vessels designated for mana across his body. He held out his right hand and after visualizing, a spark of blue lightning appeared on his fingers and disappeared immediately after.
"Hmmm." he expressed discomfort and he frowned.
He went through the same process once again, creasing his face as he was lost in focus. Blue lightning birthed on his fingertips and streamed back and forth through all five waiting to be dispersed.
The bolt of lightning wasn't as powerful as he had wanted, as what he conjured when he was filled with the feeling and worry of survival.
He held out his index finger and the lightning hastily crept to the finger immediately he did, coalescing on it and creating a powerful blue glow of energy.
He then thrust out his hand forward to a tree meters away from him and the lightning travelled striking it, creating a sharp and loud sound and blackening the spot.
"I didn't think that through, I could have started a fire." His eyes widened upon the realization and he shook his head.
He checked his stat information and noticed that the lightning took a minute portion of his available mana.
"I will go on the safer side this time around." He gazed at his right clenched fist.
"I'm not alien to the winds." He declared and closed his eyes, holding out his clenched right fist.
The godly energy in his body responded to his will travelling towards his hand. When he gathered enough mana on his palm to trigger the reaction, a tiny powerful ball of wind materialized on his hand, it was rotating and as it did, powerful breezes escaped from it pushing against his face wanting to upset his balance.
In response, he circulated the energy through his body and reinforced himself giving him the ability to withstand the force of the breeze.
He flooded into the spell more mana trying to visualize it as a bigger ball of wind and contrary to what he wanted, the ball of wind only became stronger, its size remained unchanged.
The short grasses on the ground where he stood, the bushes meters away responded to the breeze rustling about violently.
Seeing his spell wasn't becoming what he wanted, he threw it into the forest in annoyance with a thrust of his arm.
He had turned to walk to the hut when a growl escaped from somewhere where he had thrown in the ball.
Finrod froze with his hands free at the sides, he slowly turned and just as he faced the opposite direction, a roar escaped and its owner burst through, tearing through the bushes and stomping the ground hard filled with bloodlust.
The unholy creature of white and red closed in on Finrod, and swung its long large arm equipped with long curved claws at Finrod.
His body immediately reacted without his knowledge, he thrust both his hands at the demon releasing a wide blast of powerful wind that jetted him up and backwards ultimately causing him to crash on the hut's roof and break through it.
The mad monster didn't halt its onslaught, it raged in tearing through the hut with ease.
Finrod had landed close to the sitting room not far from the door, his back ached as he landed badly and strongly, nevertheless, he pushed himself up once he spotted the creature.
[Lesser Demon-lvl 24]
"By the goddess!" Finrod muttered under his breath upon realizing the difference in their levels, he stood no chance.
The creature had a pinkish white long hunched upper body, its large teeth and red gum were exposed as it had no lips. Its head bent forward and long, bearing two large eyes of plain white. Its hands were almost as long as its entire body and they dragged behind, its leg on the other hand was short, red and burly, they were riddled with veins and contracting with a lot of energy stored within them, it was a perfect hunting machine.
He had to turn and run but he knew that was going to be the end of him, it was either going to crush him with its maw or shred him to pieces with its claws once he turned, and it'll be over quickly.
However, fortunately for him, Elessar appeared up above standing on the roof and looking down at the demon through the largely broken part.
The fight began and her fly released red beams that struck the demon's head causing it to turn away in pain, Pouka immediately burst through the wall near Finrod and slammed into the creature sending it flying outside.
