Mira's heart tightened when she saw Alex's reaction.

She didn't need to see more to know that something was terribly wrong.

Immediately, she unleashed her own spatial perception, though it was much more limited in range compared to Alex's.

But the moment she unleashed it, she knew the difference in range didn't matter.

Because there it was.

Farther to the northeast, around 40 kilometres away, an unmistakable concentration of life signatures — thousands of them — clustered together in what could only be described as a well organised encampment.

And every single one of those life signatures pulsed with the familiar, vile energy that marked them as Red Demons.

Not just ordinary Red Demons either.

Many of the life signatures were far stronger than the typical cannon fodder they'd encountered before.

Several were on par with some of the fiercest foes they had fought yet.
