He looked at the rat questioningly for a second and waited for it to move away. Though, as he thought and expected, it didn't only inherit the looks of the wolfs but also the aggressiveness.

Unfortunately for the rat, Ludwig could be said to be a specialised unit in fighting against mindless beasts. As long as they aren't so strong that their body can move instinctively without the commands of a consciousness, he can just kill them.

And Ludwig did so, he looked at the mouse and light escaped from behind his blind, purple and blue in colour. It took less than a second for the mouse that turned towards him to fall onto the ground, though the distance was minimal in the first place.

What surprised Ludwig was the seemingly receding spiritual power of the ethereal body after the rat died. One must know that this isn't a common occurrence at all – how would any item be made if the ethereal body left the material before one could use it?
