Jade didn't actually object because she knew her sister needed rest. She might not have shown it, but she was a little disappointed to miss this quest due to Ella's pride clouding her judgment.

Jack, seeing Ella leave, went into thought. 'Though I've wanted action for a while now, I still need to be stronger. Last night, I knew Ella wanted to break through, and she knows how. She could help me break through too.'

"Dude, I guess I'll be ditching you. I have some important things to do," Jack said.

"What could be so important? I thought you were itching for a fight," Browny said, raising an eyebrow. The others were also surprised because all Jack ever talked about was crushing supernaturals. What was stopping him now? But before they could say anything, Jack zoomed off, abandoning his teammates.
