บท 46: Spoiled Little Princess

"Keep up, Rongrong. Twenty laps can be quite taxing for you" Oscar encouraged, casting a supportive glance at Ning Rongrong. "If we keep going at this pace, we won't have any time to rest before class starts. So, uh, why don't you try my Big Recovery Sausage?" he suggested with a warm smile, extending the offer. "It boosts the recovery speed of all attributes" he added, as he continued to guide her around the village.

Ning Rongrong's disbelief was palpable as she processed Oscar's revelation. "What?! Increases the recovery speed of all attributes?!" she exclaimed, her eyes widening in astonishment. The incredible effects of Oscar's Spirit Skill left her speechless.

"Wait, Oscar, you're really an Auxiliary System Food-type spirit master?" she continued, her tone filled with disbelief. She had always assumed he belonged to the Attack Power System or Agility Attack System because he often carried a sword with him.

Ning Rongrong's doubts deepened as she continued, her skepticism evident in her tone. "No, that's not possible" she asserted, while shaking her head. "Food-type spirit masters are notoriously the slowest to cultivate, even among Auxiliary System spirit masters. Additionally, they don't have any top-tier mimicry training ground that suits them. So, how can you be level 29 at 14 years old?" Her words were laced with disbelief as she struggled to reconcile Oscar's rapid progression with her understanding of Food-type spirit masters.

Oscar's smile brightened as he heard Ning Rongrong's doubts, eager for the opportunity to showcase his awesomeness. "Well, my Spirit Skills effects weren't initially this impressive" he began, "but thanks to the Heavenly Treasures bestowed upon me by First Brother, the quality of my Martial Soul has seen a slight improvement. Furthermore, with the Heavenly Dao Sutra now at the third level, it has naturally catalyzed the evolution of my previous Spirit Ring Skills"

Pausing for a moment to let his words sink in, Oscar's expression radiated confidence as he continued, "And as for my accelerated cultivation as a Food-type spirit master, it's all thanks to me being born with Innate Full Soul Power" a pride laced his voice as he spoke.

Ning Rongrong's eyes widened in disbelief as she absorbed Oscar's explanation. "Impossible! Auxiliary System spirit masters can't possess Innate Full Soul Power" she exclaimed.

However, Oscar stood firm, his pride evident in his posture as he recounted Flender's words. "According to Dean Flender, I am the only person ever recorded in history to have Innate Full Soul Power as an Auxiliary System spirit master" he declared confidently, his voice tinged with pride.

But before Ning Rongrong could dwell further on her thoughts, Oscar's voice interrupted her train of thought. "But Rongrong, we should really hurry up or we won't have any time to rest before our night class starts. Let's hurry!" he exclaimed with a smile, as he was about cast his incantations in preparation to create a sausage. However, to his confusion, Ning Rongrong had come to a sudden stop.

"Rongrong?" Oscar questioned, his tone tinged with doubt as he glanced back at her, his brow furrowing in concern.

Shaking her head slightly, Ning Rongrong spoke up. "It's too long, Oscar. Why don't you just come and spend some time with me in the city? We can just say we ran 20 laps when Dean Flender asks us later" she suggested, her tone gentle yet persuasive as she reached out to take Oscar's hand.

However, to her surprise, she found that she couldn't even budge Oscar from his place. Frowning, she looked up to meet Oscar's gaze, noting the perplexed expression on his face.

"Rongrong, that's not good" Oscar replied, his tone gentle yet firm as he met Ning Rongrong's gaze. "Dean Flender has instructed us to run 20 laps, so as students of the Academy, we should naturally follow his orders. Besides, this is also for training your body"

Despite the disagreement, Oscar's voice carried a persuasive edge, "Come on, I promise it won't take long with my Big Recovery Sausages" he added, hoping to sway her.

However, Ning Rongrong remained resolute in her stance. "Hmph, who does he think he is to be giving me orders?" she retorted confidently. "Oscar, come with me. I guarantee that you won't get in trouble if you do"

"Rongrong…" Oscar's frown deepened further upon hearing her words. With a heavy sigh, he shook off her hands, his resolve firm as he continued running, choosing to ignore her protest for the moment. "Follow me, Rongrong. We still have 19 laps to go" he said firmly, his tone leaving no room for argument as he picked up his pace.

"Hmph, don't say I didn't invite you!" Ning Rongrong retorted defiantly as she turned and ran off towards Suotuo City.

Oscar could only watch her fading figure with a tinge of disappointment before refocusing on his run, determined to complete the laps as instructed.

As the night descended over the Academy grounds, students were called to gather at the square for the planned night class.

Outside the academy, Oscar leaned against a sturdy tree, his gaze scanning the area as he patiently waited for someone.

"You're finally back" Oscar greeted softly, his tone tinged with a hint of disappointment as he watched the familiar figure of the pink-haired girl running towards him.

"Oscar? Did you wait for me?" Ning Rongrong asked with a bright smile, her excitement evident as she approached him, unaware of the subtle disappointment in Oscar's voice.

Upon hearing her words, Oscar could only offer a small nod. "Let's go. Others should already be gathering at the square" he replied with a sigh, masking his disappointment as he turned to lead the way.

Looking at the returning figures of Oscar and Ning Rongrong, Flender nodded toward them, his expression curious as his gaze settled on Oscar. "Did you guys finish your run?" he inquired, his tone tinged with a hint of suspicion.

Hearing Flender's inquiry, Oscar exchanged a glance with Ning Rongrong before responding with a sigh "Yes, we did"

Flender smiled with a nod, seemingly satisfied with the answer, and reached out to pat Oscar on the shoulder. "Since you are such a faithful friend, go run another 50 laps. I have already sealed your soul power. Consider it a punishment for lying" Flender declared, his tone firm as he gestured for Oscar to begin his additional laps.

With a reluctant nod, Oscar accepted his punishment, knowing that he had brought it upon himself. With determination, he turned his gaze towards the track, ready to begin his additional laps without complaint.

Meanwhile, Flender shifted his attention towards Ning Rongrong, posing his inquiry with a furrowed brow. "Ning Rongrong, why didn't you finish running your laps?" he asked.

At Flender's question, Ning Rongrong responded pitifully. "There were too many laps for me. I was tired and hungry" she explained, her eyes pleading for understanding as she offered her excuse.

"So that's why you decided to go to Suotuo City to eat and shop before coming back to find Oscar?" Flender questioned sternly, his tone carrying a note of disapproval as he addressed Ning Rongrong's actions.

Ning Rongrong's anger flared at Flender's implication. "You! You were monitoring me!" she exclaimed angrily, as she glared at Flender.

"I am the Dean of the Academy, and I have to be responsible for all the students. But you," Flender continued "not only did you not follow my instructions and leave the Academy without notice, but you also let Oscar lie for you!" His words were a clear rebuke, his disappointment evident in his stern expression as he addressed Ning Rongrong's disregard for the rules.

Realizing she had been caught, Ning Rongrong bellowed, her voice filled with indignation. "Hmph, so what! This is just some unknown Academy without any reputation, why should I care? You should be grateful I even attended your Academy!" Her words dripped with disdain.

"And who do you think you are, a mere Spirit Saint, to give me orders and reprimand me?" she continued, her tone filled with arrogance. "I am the only daughter of the Patriarch of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan and a once-in-a-hundred-year prodigy! Do you want me to call my clan members to take down this unknown academy of yours?!" Her voice rang out angrily, filled with defiance as she asserted her status.

Before Flender could continue any further, a scoff was heard not far away, capturing everyone's attention. "Hah, so it was the little princess of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan. No wonder you're so damn arrogant! Take down the academy? I would like to see your clan try!" The voice, filled with disdain, belonged to Sheng Jun, who couldn't tolerate Ning Rongrong's behavior any longer.

"We would lose for sure, but it's not hard to leave your clan with 100 years worth of debt and one less Titled Douluo!" Sheng Jun's words were sharp, dripping with contempt as he addressed Ning Rongrong.

Flender, Ma Hongjun, Dai Mubai, and Bai Chenxiang exchanged glances, fully aware that Sheng Jun wasn't bluffing. With his company's considerable influence, the prospect of mutual destruction in business with the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan wasn't impossible.

Furthermore, even if their two Titled Douluo decided to intervene, Sheng Jun could still take one of them to the afterlife with him, thanks to the one time use ability of his Sacrifice skill. This unique ability allowed him to select any target to be selected as sacrifice, channeling the full power of his skill regardless of the strength difference between them. Essentially, if he were to be fatally injured, the other party would suffer the same fate, even if they were Titled Douluo themselves.

Breathing heavily, Sheng Jun continued, his voice filled with intensity. "Besides, once-in-a-hundred-years prodigy? Who cares? Compared to everyone else here, you are the most lacking!" His words sliced through the tension like a sharpened blade.

"Dai Mubai is a 15-year-old on the verge of becoming a Spirit Ancestor. Tang San, with his Martial Soul known for its supposed uselessness, has already reached Level 29 at the age of 12. The same goes for Xiao Wu with her normal-tier Martial Soul. And let's not even talk about Oscar, the first genius in history and the future Auxiliary System Titled Douluo. You can't even be compared to him, destined to never reach Spirit Douluo in your life due to the limitations of your clan's Martial Soul!" he proclaimed boldly, shocking everyone present with his blunt assessment of Ning Rongrong's destiny.

"As for me? What's there to compare? When I reached Spirit Elder, you were still playing little princess in your clan" Sheng Jun continued, "And even though your and Zhu Zhuqing's soul powers are almost the same, there is a large difference between you two"

With a look, he turned towards Zhu Zhuqing, prompting her to step forward. Sensing the shift in focus, Zhu Zhuqing squared her shoulders and met Sheng Jun's gaze with unwavering determination.

"Zhu Zhuqing, what are your reasons for coming here?" Sheng Jun asked.

"To become stronger!" Zhu Zhuqing answered without hesitation, her determination evident in her voice. With a solemn nod, Sheng Jun turned his head back to the already teary Ning Rongrong as he continued.

"She had come here with a clear purpose, as for you? You are just a spoiled brat living off your parent's achievements. What's there to be proud of? Knowing Ning Fengzhi, I must say that his daughter is a failure! Go pack your things if you don't want to stay here. Who would want you here anyway?!" With each word, Sheng Jun's frustration and disappointment rang out, casting a shadow over Ning Rongrong's already shattered confidence. Tears streamed down her face as she turned and ran, the weight of Sheng Jun's words heavy upon her shoulders.

With a sigh, Flender reprimanded, "Xiao Jun, you've gone a little bit too far this time. You know her true nature is not that bad, she's just been spoiled too much since her birth" Flender reprimanded, although with a slight smile on his lips.

"I can't help it, Teacher. How dare she insult you and our academy" Sheng Jun responded, his voice tinged with apology, yet his frustration still lingered beneath the surface.

With a nod of understanding, Flender turned towards Ma Hongjun and ordered, "Go fetch Oscar and let him go comfort Ning Rongrong" Understanding the urgency of the situation, Ma Hongjun wasted no time and soared into the skies.
