Grandma kept staring at Victoria so seriously, as if she was scrutinizing her, making me uneasy.

"Grandma... Please, don't scold her, she did nothing wrong," I said anxiously.

"Of course, I'm going to scold her," she replied with a stern look. What is this? Does she also disapprove of our relationship like my mother?

I swallowed hard, while Victoria held my arm tightly.

"Grandma... Please..." I pleaded. "We have a daughter who wants us to be together... And we also want to be together because we love each other. Please don't be an obstacle like Tammy did..."

"I'm not an obstacle, you stupid!" She pushed me away and then grabbed Victoria's left hand. "Now I need to talk to her." She stared at Victoria again.

"Grandma..." I tried to stop her from pulling Victoria away, but she glared at me.
