บท 44: Valda's Disappearance

"Have this, I noticed you were feeling thirsty." Said the leader, and Valda glanced suspiciously at the small bowl containing water. She was obviously left with no choice but to sit down and go along with everything, at least, till they fell asleep, and she would sneak her way out of this unhealthy environment.

They all held dangerous weapons like axes, machete, hefty-looking swords, and that ignited fear in her, for she was practically unarmed. She would be unable to flee from here if she tries anything stupid. The leader himself had a rugged appearance, etched with lines of survival, and his skin, bronzed by sun and wind, bore the weight of countless battles that she dared not decipher.

She will just have to exercise patience, and hope they succumb to sleep soon!
