บท 14: Using the Golden Portal Ring

"Argh!" The Hangman yelled, placing his right hand on his head as he forced himself to lean against the shank of his office table.
"F**k fuck fuck!" Tyler cursed, clenching his fist.
At this moment, it felt like his body was shrinking before him. The attack he had recently severely affected his bone, and now, Tyler couldn't even move his legs.
It was like thunder.
Yeah, an intense electric shock attack.
And then the game announced that he had been penalized?!
"What the..."
It was obvious.
The game must favor those who had to play the creators' preferred part, while the Good Guys must suffer for choosing to change their path.
Tyler frowned.
Now, not all Players have rights to boast about?
It was a clear explanation of this System...
There were different grades of individuals in this game world... The ones who choose to follow the path of the authority shall be the favored Players, while the Good Guys have to face the wrath of antagonizing immorality.

Tyler couldn't even believe that he was punished for saying the truth.
"I thought one of the purposes of creating this game was to punish us for our crimes, why does it look like it's going the other way?" The Hangman thought to himself.
Then in the next moment, a certain thought came flooding in. "Or, are we just being used?"
Tyler felt his head spin a bit.
He considered the fact that this game was a huge source of income for the world and figured that that was why the only people the government could use as Players were the ones worth merciless death.
ApexRise Online was a great yet dangerous game world, and watching a lot of interesting events inside this world was what the people of the real world would love... Most rich and influential individuals are ready to spend for fun, so this was why the government established a fund sector that was gifting, voting Super Tickets, and other things just to support the Players.
Meanwhile, only ten percent of these funds are directed to the Players while the authority hijacks ninety percent of it.
Although Tyler didn't know how this Profit Share System works overall, but he had this feeling that somehow, not all Players were here to take the penalties for their crimes.
"Especially you, Pilgrim. I will make sure I make your life miserable in this world if I find out that you are one of these Bad Guys. Trust me."
Tyler muttered with an act of anger, his eyes staring death into the world.
Suddenly, James entered the office unexpectedly...
Tyler, shocked and dazed, quickly applied all the strength and energy that he could to stand up, even though it hurt.
He didn't want James to see him sitting on the floor.
It should be shameful, right?
"Why bumping into my office without a signal, huh?" Tyler angrily asked, pointing his left finger toward James.
James quickly froze. "I'm sorry, sir. It's just that we got new information that the robbers are at the Grand Trust Bank in South Ave."
"I apologize for the bumps, sir," James added.
Sigh...
"These bitches! They wouldn't stop until they steal the whole money in the world!" Tyler bellowed in rage.
'Hey Tyler, shut your mouth, you once stole from a bank!'
Tyler said inwardly as he made his way out of his office.
He left the station without even looking back, and this made the other Striders surprised.
"Sir! They got guns, we have to get ours too," as Tyler made steps forward out of the station, James shouted from behind as he followed.
The Hangman even forgot to take the Strider vehicle when he knew really well that South Ave was quite far from the Strider Station, White Legion Corner in the north.
James kept calling, but Tyler didn't look back. He knew that James was a nice and careful person, but all Tyler needed now was to stay silent, reach the Grand Trust Bank, and kick every single masked ass he meets there.
"Let's just try this thing."
Dipping his right hand into his suit's pocket, The Hangman brought out the golden ring he had received from the village head and tossed it to the ground.
Upon falling on the ground, the tiny golden ring transformed into a wide, golden portal.

Tyler only sniffed and turned to look at James who was approaching from behind.
James was visibly stunned as he saw the magic that had just happened. The Hangman just created a portal that was leading directly to South Ave. In fact, it was an area that was a stone's throw from the Grand Trust Bank.
James was shocked and glad at the same time. The Striders, for years, had tried to capture these robbery forces, but unfortunately, the robbers either ended up defeating them or luckily escaping. Sometimes, the robbers vanish even before the Striders could get there.
It was quite overwhelming.
But since The Hangman became the new boss, no mission had been lost... Although this was his first time trying to counter robbery, so there was nothing to say about this yet.
'Enzo said he defeated a Demonic Beast God, so probably, boss must be a magician. He could capture those terrible beings without stress.' James boasted in belief.
He slowly approached the portal while staring at Tyler with a look of amazement.
However, though, The Hangman had no time to waste talking. He just gotta make the jerk follow him into the portal.
"We have limited time to complete this mission, get your ass in here or I'll close this thing. I'm sure you don't wanna walk down to South Ave," Tyler said after entering the portal.
Just as his boss warned, James quickly walked into the portal, though fearfully, closing his eyes and praying he didn't vanish.
However...
Tarr! Tarr! Tarr!
The gunshots heard from the near distance made the duo shudder, and in the next moment, Tyler couldn't believe his eyes.
"Robots?!"
