"So the duel is just to distract him. This is on me and my club members. I hope the Council has some sort of way to compensate us," Ezra asked.
"You don't have to worry about that. If this works out well, I'll let you have free passage to leave the academy and enter the town whenever you want," Raze offered.
"I see. Well, I can use that," Ezra replied. "Well, I should go get ready for the duels."
He walked into the club room and closed the door, using shadow sense to know when they left.
"The council keeps springing up things like this. I feel they want to do the same thing my colleagues did to me. Making me do such jobs will definitely make me do some bad things that will later be used to implicate me. And when that happens, I am as good as dead, just like before. I have to be more careful. That Raze is more evil than he lets on."
When the rest made it to the club, Ezra informed them about what was going to happen.
