The next day, Linden got up early and found a larger canvas shoulder bag for Seraphina.
He packed her drink and lunch, along with some snacks: candies, crispy cookies, and washed fruits. He also included a small plush dog toy. When you touch the dog's head, it will run around the table, its eyes will light up, and it can even do flips.
Linden told her to place the little dog next to the soup; it will wag its tail while hanging on the edge of the soup bowl. He had tested it—it wouldn't fall into the bowl.
While Seraphina was putting on her shoes at the door, she bent over to slip them on. On days without formal work meetings, she rarely wore high heels. The office was always air-conditioned, and since she had a lower body temperature, she usually wore fully enclosed sneakers to keep her feet warm and comfortable during her commute.
As she held onto her shoe heel, she looked up at Linden from below and smiled slightly, "Where do you find such toys?"
