บท 40: Only One To Stand by his side
Noah didn't take Sophie to any restaurant, instead he decided to cook and prepare for the two of them.
Sophie watched as Noah's busy figure, she couldn't help but approach him from behind and give him a hug.
"How could you be so good to me !?"
"You are so easy to take care of, just a simple dinner and you are already touched,"
Sophie did not respond, instead her hands wandered into Noah's shirt crest his chest muscles.
"Mr.Noah I am Hungry !" Said Sophie
"The Food is on it's way," Noah Replied.
"But, I want to eat you up," Sophie turned nasty.
Noah stopped what he was doing , without saying a word he turned around and Carried Sophie horizontally in his arms out of the kitchen.
What his wife requested, he had to immediately fulfil.
Later at the night…
The News was covering the bright Night Gala , that was to take place in 3 days time.
After glancing at it quickly, Noah lowered his head to question Sophie, who is in his embrace "The Bright Night Gala, I have looked at the guest list, both you and Amber are invited,"
"Bright Night Galla !?" Sophie raised her head confusingly.
"Seems like Global Pictures's Haven't told you about it and probably doesn't intend to tell you about it ever,"
Seeing Sophie's reaction Noah's voice lowered.
The annual model awards was one of the biggest awards of the year. The top ten model award was only a part of it. The most important thing was the awards, which would definitely be taken by some of the famous models.
Amongst them, 80% of the models were from Collider Scope entertainment and Star King Entertainment.
Sophie straightened her body , she felt a little tensed.
Noah noticed her reaction, as he quickly stroked her hair as he gently comforted her, "Let's pretend you don't know about it, for now. Let them be happy by thinking you won't attend. On the day, I will sent someone to escort you down the red carpet."
"Honey you have already considered all possibilities, don't let this upset you."
Sophie slowly calmed down as she gently nodded her head.
"If Not for you, I would have probably been tricked again."
"But, there is no 'If' . You indeed have me."
Sophie tightly wrapped her arms around Noah's waist. He was her safest harbour in the world.
The Next Morning, As Discussed, Sophie indeed pretended as if she didn't know a thing as she entered Global Pictures with Lisa.
Inside his office, Nathan was in an extremely good mood. After multiple Battles with Sophie, they were finally able to learn to hide Their intentions. So , In front of her , they longer flaunted or showed off. They simply pretended nothing happened.
"After the collaboration with the french brand, are you going to continue working !? There have been many magazine and endorsement offers for you. Have you made any decisions !?"
"I want to work with Fashion Icon."
Sophie placed the collaboration plan of Fashion Icon in front of Nathan. Which made Nathan surprised for a moment. He didn't understand why would Sophie pick Fashion Icon !? Although, this was not necessarily a cheap magazine in anyway, if anything, it was an high end magazine itself, in terms of sales and reputation , it didn't compare with other magazines.
Why did she chose this one among all the offers she had !?
"Are You Sure ?!" Nathan completely did not understand what Sophie was thinking. She had just taken a step towards success, but instead of riding the wave of her fame and popularity currently to increase her exposure, she chose something out of the ordinary and selected a path that no one would be confident enough to take.
"I am Sure!" Sophie nodded
"Amber will be receiving an award. I believe you would be using all of your resources to support her. There are no reason for you to interfere with what I want to do, right"
"Are you afraid that the higher ups would reject it !?" Nathan asked coldly. "Sophie, you think too highly of yourself. If you want to do it, then do it. I will speak with the higher ups, I will convince them. However, I think you should aware of the dangerous choice you made with it,"
"I am completely aware."
After speaking , Sophie stop up. She had nothing else to speak with Nathan.
"Sophie, You must be very desperate to destroy yourself. Are you really going to make our wish come true."
After Hearing This , Sophie's footsteps stopped for a moment.
"I think you should be caring more about you and Amber First" Said Sophie bluntly.
"Sophie , you should learn to be satisfied. Stop trying to climb up any further, or else I don't know what else my sister and Amber would do to harm you. Don't tell me you want to be covered in wounds," Nathan said anxiously to Sophie's back , "Turn Back, stop seeking revenge!"
Sophie didn't stop, and continued walking. The words coming out of Nathan's mouth sounded funny and ridiculous, after all the hurtful things he had already done to her.
As she was walking out, Sophie turned her head and subconsciously looked at the bin in Nathan's room. The Invite that was sent to her for the Gala night was still down at the bin torned to pieces.
"Revenge !? Nathan, all I want is Fairness. I am sure you know what I am talking about. Have you ever been fair to me !?"
Nathan's reaction was slow, as he tried to follow Sophie's gaze. However, Sophie had already turned around and all he could see now was the back of her head. Nathan wondered if Sophie already knew about the invitation from the bright Night Gala.
After getting out of Nathan's office room, Sophie directly headed towards the main entrance of the Global pictures.
However, Amber couldn't help but proudly parade herself through the entire building, as she stopped Sophie at the entrance. She gave a proud and provoking look.
"Is'nt New York's new and upcoming model Sophie !? She is so popular these days,"
"Move!" Sophie said calmly.
"I have received an invitation from the Bright Night Gala, what about you, Miss Upcoming Model!?" Amber placed her hand on Sophie's shoulder as she spoke mockingly, "So, what if you shot the oriental trend, at the end of the Day, aren't you still unwelcomed in the modeling world ?! I am sure you understand how important the Bright Night Gala is to a model !?"
Amber pulled out her invitation card for the Bright Night Gala and flaunted it in front of Sophie. "I have it, but you don't! Oh, that's right, not only do you not have the invitation, you don't even have a manager, who is going to discuss your contracts !?"
Sophie's face was calm as her usual self, as she stood at her place , allowing Amber to be as arrogant as she could possibly be. And when finally Amber stopped talking, Sophie showed a slight smile, as she used a voice that could only be heard between the two of them.
"The Judge's bed… Is it softer than Nathan's !?"
Amber froze immediately after hearing Sophie's words.
"The Bright Night Gala and about if anyone is discussing my contract or not, are not the things you should be worrying about at the moment, you better focus on applying more perfume to cover up the smell on your body. The smell of cheating is so strong. How long do you think Nathan will remain blind to it !?"
After speaking , Sophie watched as the look of the guild spread across Amber's eyes.
Afterwards, she let out a small laugh as she pushed Amber out of her way and walked out of Global pictures, leaving Amber standing all alone, cursing.
Amber's professionalism had remained stagnant for so long, because she spent too much time scheming against others and caring about her own pride. She also spent too much time flirting with Nathan. Otherwise, after 4-5 years in the industry, how could she still be a B-Grade Model and not someone at the top of their game.
After exiting Global pictures, Lisa was waiting for her in the car with a mysterious smile. Sophie looked at her curiously, as she let out a laugh, "What is it !?"
"I will take you somewhere."
After speaking, Lisa started the car and drove to one of the most expensive downtown areas and took her to one of the most expensive stores.
"Why did you bring me here !?"
Sophie looked at the open display, afraid she would be seen by fans.
"Buying your battle gear."
A deep voice, Not Lisa's resounded from the ViP area. It was Noah, who has been waiting for her for a while. He was wearing a dark blue suit wrapped around his alluring body. He took some confident and bold steps towards her with a bold and seductive smile. He looked like an emperor from a painting.
"Noah!" Sophie was surprised.
"The Bright Night Gala, that Global pictures don't want you to attend, but I intend on making you the center of attention,"
Noah walked around and hugged her from behind to draw attention to her perfect curves. She owned a pair beautiful slander legs.
Lisa knowingly retreated from the store, allowing the couple to be affectionate.
Sophie could feel the warmth from his body, as she asked, "Are'nt you busy at work !?"
"No matter how busy I am , I can't forget to care about you!" Noah whispered into Sophie's ear as he gently rubbed his her ear low between his lips, "Did I tell you, I am the Bright Night Gala's special Guest!"
Sophie was stunned for a moment, before calming herself down again. Collider Scope will get so many awards, of course Noah would attend.
"This will be the first since we got married, that we will share a stage. The show previously doesn't count. So, this opportunity is very important for me. The reason I brought you here to this particular store is because of their high degree of confidentiality. Also , they have just released a series of couple designs. In the entire world, there was one of each."
After hearing this, Sophie finally was able to understand Noah's intentions. He wanted them to wear clothes from the same series and wear matching jewelry, that only they would know about. Even though, they couldn't announce their relationship, he wanted her to know , no matter what position he was in, and where he was, in the end they were husband and wife, and she was the only person who could stand by his side.
