บท 7: Will you allow me to touch you?
Nicholas couldn't believe that he was slapped by a girl he just met. He was used to being wanted by everyone, especially women. And being touched by him was considered an honor.
'What the hell was that?' He thought.
"What the fuck is wrong with you? Look, Mr. Hudson. As I said, I am not an official employee of this club. I haven't signed any contract. And even if I sign, you have no right to touch me without my permission!"
Mia turned her back and walked away. Nicholas was dumbfounded and was unable to talk back. The other people inside the club waited for his anger to burst out. But to their surprise, he laughed.
Mama quickly attended to Nicholas. "Mr.Hudson, I apologize. She just arrived a few hours ago. I offered her a job, but she just wanted to work as a waitress and not a scarlet. And what she said is true, she hasn't signed any contract."
Nicholas nodded. "It's fine, Matilda. It's my first time to get slapped by someone. But I think it's a good thing."
"Good, sir?" Mama frowned.
He smiled. "I'll leave for now. But it's the same, bill's on me. And give that girl a drink as an apology. Tell her, I'll keep what she said in mind."
Nicholas left the club, making everyone confused. It was the first time they saw him laugh.
"Lia, why the hell did you do that for?" Ady came into her room with two other girls, and the other was the half-naked girl with Nicholas.
"Why? I don't know him. Why would I want him to touch me without consent?"
The girls were shocked, but were mad because of what she did.
"Are you crazy? Because of you, I didn't get the chance to–" The girl cried.
She frowned. Did she want to have sex with Nicholas on that spot? And because of what she did, the girl lost her chance.
"Ady and you two, get out." Mama came.
Ady and the girls left, but they glared at her before leaving.
"Did you know that Nicholas has a bad temper?"
She shook her head. "I'm sorry, Mama. I promise it won't happen again."
Mama sighed deeply. "Didn't you read what's in the contract about hurting customers?"
"I did. And that's also the reason I will sign the contract."
"What?"
"Mama, I will sign the contract because I now owe you something. Nicholas Hudson is the wealthiest man in the country and I know he's a powerful man. I have provoked him. I don't want to get you and your club in trouble. So, I will officially work here and serve him to compensate for what I did."
Mama couldn't believe Mia's words. Was she just too kind or purely stupid? She thought. Other girls would just run away and hide, but this girl would stay and work to pay for slapping a wealthy man.
"Serving Nicholas depends if he asks you to be his scarlet. But if he does, are you willing to do those kinds of things?" Mama asked.
Mia knew exactly what Mama meant. Nicholas would definitely get back to her by touching her or maybe he would ask her to pleasure him.
She bit her lip and slightly nodded. "If it's the price I have to pay, then I will."
Mama gave her the document, and without any hesitation, she signed the paper.
Dylan came and whispered something to Mama's ear. She frowned when Mama glanced at her with a huge smile on her face.
"Lia, you have to prepare. Nicholas Hudson wants you. He will come back later to see you."
That was fast. She thought inwardly. Her heart started pounding again. Thinking that Nicholas would ask her to suck his dick off made her nervous.
"Lia, you should wear this." Ady changed after knowing that Nicholas would come back for her.
"You know, every girl who works here wanted to get Nicholas' attention. The girl from earlier, her name's Jean. She's one of his favorites. Jean felt superior to all the girls because of that. But Mr.Hudson never slept with her." Ady said while helping her prepare.
"How about you? Do you like him?" She asked.
Ady chuckled. "Who doesn't? If given an opportunity, any girl will serve him."
In one of the rooms, Mama talked privately with Nicholas.
"I'm telling you beforehand that she doesn't have any experience. She's a virgin. And you know the rules of the club for someone like her."
"Who knows about it?" He asked.
"Me and my boss, of course. So as for the rules of the club, you are only allowed to talk to her."
He nodded. "Bring her here."
Mama frowned. "But you never used any of our rooms before?"
"I'm tired. And I won't touch her, just bring her here."
Mia was guided inside one of the private rooms. Her anxiousness grew even more when she saw Nicholas quietly sitting on the couch.
She wasn't sure why her body started trembling. It was either because she was just wearing a short backless dress or she was scared.
"Sit down." He ordered.
She had nowhere to sit aside from the one side of the couch which was just two feet away from him.
"Your name's Lia?" He asked.
She nodded. "Yes."
"Why did you slap me?"
She curled her lips and sighed. "I don't like to be touched without my permission. I'm sorry for slapping you."
Nicholas poured wine in the other glass and handed it to her. She was never fond of drinking, but since it's work, she had to do it.
"If I ask permission, will you allow me to touch you then?"
He looked at her straight into her eyes as if he was undressing her. It made her anxious and at the same time, she felt the heat on her cheeks.
She could hear the beat of her heart and how she wished he wouldn't feel the effect of him on her.
"What?" She couldn't say anything but that word.
