บท 17: Chapter 17: Snape's Blood Pressure Soared, Whom Are You Punishing?(EDITED)

Next day

Early Morning

"Dumbledore!"

It was barely dawn, and the young wizards hadn't even risen from their beds yet.

The doors to the Headmaster's office swung open.

Severus Snape, wearing his usual black cloak, strode in.

At this moment, Dumbledore looked weary, sipping on his cup of tea.

He had hardly slept all night.

"Listen, the situation is much worse than you imagine!"

Snape's tone was immediately hostile.

"You can't possibly imagine what happened last night!"

"That Kyle, the infamous Blood Demon of Knockturn Alley, hung over a dozen Slytherin first-year students from the ceiling last night, and they stayed there all night!"

"Is that so?"

"Did anyone get hurt?" Dumbledore asked, lifting his head.

"No!"

"But you need to understand, his nature is evil, and that cannot be changed!"

"Now those students are frightened, and their parents are still unaware. If—"

Snape tried to say more, but Dumbledore waved him off.

"It's normal for there to be some conflicts between students, Severus. As teachers, we should find ways to mediate."

"Instead of hastily labeling students as evil."

"That's not what a teacher should do!"

If it had been before hearing about such incidents, Dumbledore would surely have treated it with caution!

But now...

After the encounter with Kyle last night, Dumbledore felt like his level of acceptance towards certain things had increased.

After all, Filch was still unconscious in the infirmary, merely from being frightened.

What was that?

Look!

Kyle is a good kid who knew the severity of things.

"Well, what I wanted to say is that Felch was also accidentally knocked unconscious by one of Kael's pets last night."

"That child has already made a profound reflection with me."

Facing Snape's dark gaze, Dumbledore had to back down a bit.

And in the process, he spoke a few words in favor of Kyle.

"Filch?"

"He dared to attack a staff member?"

The proud old bat naturally looked down on Filch's antics.

But a student attacking a staff member?

That was definitely a serious matter.

"You're only having him reflect on it?" Faced with Snape's questioning, Dumbledore hesitated.

Thinking carefully, Kyle didn't even seem to have reflected at all!

He just shifted all the blame onto his pets!

But of course, Dumbledore couldn't say that.

"It's not just a simple reflection, of course!" Dumbledore said seriously.

"I will also deduct 50 points from Slytherin for his mistake!"

"I believe this will make him learn his lesson!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Snape felt his blood pressure rise!

He had only two obsessions in his life.

One was Lily!

And the other was the Slytherin House Cup!

Deduct points?

Fifty points?

So, I come to you early in the morning, and you want to deduct Slytherin's points to negative before the school even starts?

Are you punishing him or me?

He felt targeted.

"Alright, Severus, we should give those students who make mistakes a chance."

Dumbledore thought he handled it perfectly.

He leisurely picked up his tea and took a sip.

"Hmph!"

Snape snorted coldly, swirled his cloak, and walked away.

Give him a chance?

Why not give me a chance!

Why am I the one who ends up hurt?

...

On Kyle's Side

Last night, he went back and gave lessons to his two Eevees all night!

He finally taught them how to use their advantages to socialize!

Then he slept until dawn.

Probably not wanting to encounter Kyle, there was no one in the common room.

The small snakes who had hung from the ceiling all night had been let down by the older snakes after the magic wore off.

He went alone to the Great Hall.

Various English breakfast dishes were laid out on the long table.

When Kyle approached, the noisy Slytherin table suddenly quieted down.

Some snakes started leaving early.

The price of expressing their exclusion of Kyle was their empty stomachs.

But Kyle didn't mind, he just ate his breakfast.

Come on!

He was a generous person!

Would he hold a grudge over such a trivial matter?

The first to leave was Draco Malfoy!

The second was Slytherin's Quidditch captain, Marcus Flint.

Coincidentally, both were from the same pure-blood family as the proud captain who had come to warn him in front of Platform Nine and Three-Quarters yesterday.
