บท 24: Unwanted Feelings

"Thando!" Amara raced towards me the moment she saw me appear from behind the shed. She was limping two steps at a time. I was afraid she might hurt herself, so I quickly caught up to her before she could take another step.

"Thando..." Amara was breathing heavily with exhaustion as she placed her hands on my shoulders, "Are...you...okay?"

"Amara, breathe first, then you can speak." I said, watching her with concern

A minute passed by as Amara took time to catch her breath. I looked down at her black dress, and noticed the mud smudged all over the front. Did she fall? It seemed like she fell. She probably fell while looking for me. I suddenly felt guilty for making her go through that.
