"If you were powerless, would you have saved those people?" William's words reverberated in the courtyard. Aldrich looked at him with a hint of amusement.
"So, if you were powerful, will you help those people?"
"Of course," William replied without hesitation.
"Oh," Aldrich smiled. "Then..." With a mischievous look, he patted William's shoulder. "Help me maintain this city."

It had been five days since the beast horde. Ordinary people didn't know anything. They all did their work as usual.
Supers, on the other hand, all weak, ranging from rank F and E, reminisced about that day. Seeing the giant bone, hearing the deafening explosion, and witnessing the deaths of thousands of monsters, all caused by a single person, they couldn't help but admire.
Strong Supers who were heading to another city didn't know why they returned. They were all confused by the undead horde that kidnapped William.
But recently, the dungeons in the city had been passive. Every dungeon, from F to C, had a white status, meaning they wouldn't break for a very long time.
In these five days, William had gone through many experiences.
He wanted to complain and cry. He might be a grown adult, but after going through all that, he couldn't help but wish to cry like a child.
Why?
He had accompanied the group of S-rank undead through all the dungeons in the city. He was also like their teacher, having to tell them about other monsters, their power, and about the dungeons too.
Not to mention, he was just there, standing like a statue, watching them clear the dungeons in a matter of minutes.
They all had their own undead army and powerful skills.
William also wondered what Aldrich had meant. How could he help maintain the city?
Aldrich hadn't told him at all, so he couldn't help but feel worried and uneasy.
Aldrich, on the other hand, was trying something new.
Soloing dungeons.
Not using undead at all, and only relying on his skills and stats, he decided to clear dungeons to increase his battle experience.
In these five days, he had cleared F, E, and D-rank dungeons.
It was easy due to his maxed C-rank stats. The only thing he lacked was offensive skills.
It took him five days to solo clear five dungeons. Clearing a dungeon took a lot of time and energy. Now only he understands how other Supers took hours to clear a dungeon.
Today, he stood in front of the C-rank dungeon.
"Soloing a C-rank dungeon as a peak C-rank Super is nothing but idiotic," he said to himself.
Even peak B-rank Supers couldn't clear a C-rank dungeon solo.
[Serpent Cave]
It was a C-rank dungeon where snake-type monsters resided. A place filled with a poisonous swamp and venomous creatures.
Aldrich had thousands of potions for these poisons. He wanted to clear the dungeon, not go on a suicide mission, so he had to be fully prepared.
He stepped inside the dungeon. His vision distorted, and he zoomed in. Unlike his first visit to the dungeon, he felt nothing at all.
He looked around. The black sky didn't have an end. Not a single celestial body was hanging in the sky. It was pure darkness.
Despite not having a single light source, the place was brightly lit and covered by a slight fog.
Overgrown weeds filled the land, and tall boundless trees pierced the sky. Many swamps were all over the place. A slight mistake, and one falling there would never get up, as even their bones would melt in the swamp. So, Aldrich was very cautious.

Air blew, carrying moisture. The air was warm, as if it came from a warm place.
He walked. Just as he took a step, a figure pounced at him.
A tall fat snake with a very big head. Its long body intertwined Aldrich as its two big yellowish eyes stared at his face. Its face had two very big teeth from where green poisonous liquid dropped.
Its long thin tongue came out of its mouth trying to lick Aldrich. It wanted to taste him.
However, Aldrich put force and tried to break free. His strength outdid the snake's.
The snake was pitiful and hungry, with a strength not more than low C-rank. Aldrich was peak C-rank. His strength would naturally overpower the snake.
The snake hissed in pain and threw Aldrich, but he rotated his body and landed smoothly.
Without blinking, his body rushed toward the snake. He took out a dagger from his hand.
He utilized the D-rank skill he bought in the market.
"Overpowering Slash!"
The blade glowed in red as it became overwhelmingly hot. Despite the snake's thick scales, the dagger pierced through the skin.
Sssssss!
The green acidic blood gushed out from the body. Aldrich jumped back and watched the ground corroded by the acidic blood.
The snake wasn't dead. Its body became weaker, but its tail swiped at him.
He collided with the body with the dagger. The dagger pierced the flesh, and as it moved, the dagger swiped down the body, cutting it.
Hissss!!!!!
A loud hissing sound escaped the snake's mouth as large amounts of blood flowed from the body. It turned limp and disintegrated into a skill book.
"Wow, my luck today is super good!" He exclaimed with joy.

The skill wasn't that bad. It was a D-rank skill! He immediately learned it.
"Status," he called out to the status window to check his status.

He stretched his body. Looking around, he didn't find any other enemies. After scanning the area for a while, he moved deeper into the dungeon.
