บท 276: Why can't I see my father?

Fil and Jackson stared at each other while the silence between them grew deeper.

"That crown princess, her name is Fil…"

Jackson trailed off when the sound of her phone interrupted the thick tension in the air. Fil jolted by the sound of it, quickly taking her phone to volume it down. 

She didn't plan to answer it, but when she saw the name on the screen, she hesitated. 

Jackson glanced at the screen and furrowed his brows. "Assistant Raul?" he read, not remembering a name like that around her. 

Was it a client's assistant? 

Jackson shifted his gaze to her face and quickly realized his guess was incorrect. "Who is it?"

"He… he is Chairman Hale's secretary," Fil looked up at him with worry in her eyes.

"Go answer it," he said, offering her a short smile. "What I'm saying can wait."

Fil wanted to hear what he was about to say. She didn't hear the crown princess's name because of the loud ring.
