Grace felt her eyes sting slightly at his words. 

It wasn't just about him complimenting her figure, but it was about Jace seeing her in a way that she hadn't believed anyone could see her before and pushing her to see herself that way too.

She felt a warmth spread through her chest, a feeling that had become familiar 

whenever she was with him. 

Once upon a time, she had dreamed, hoped and wished that one day, such a man would come her way and when Rufus had appeared in her life she believed he was that man but failed to realize that he was just feigning it until it was already too late. 

It was now she realized that he was more busy taking care of Lisa than her, the principal officer. 

She had believed he was being so nice to her sister because he truly loved and cared about her, his girlfriend, but she turned out to be the greatest fool in the end.
