"Especially coming from someone of your status and me, a common nanny? What if something happens in the future and you realize that I'm not worthy of you, I won't be able to survive it. I've been hurt before, and I can't go through that again."
The more Jace heard Grace speak, the more his grip tightened on her hands. What was she talking about? Was that even worth her thought? She was the perfect person for him, status or no status. If his heart had opened up to her, then every other thing was irrelevant.
