Kayden slowly opened her eyes, groggily taking in her surroundings. She was met with the familiar sight of her bedroom, but something felt off. She didn't spring out of bed like she usually did, full of energy and enthusiasm. Instead, she felt...tired. Wearily, she managed to haul herself out of bed, her limbs feeling heavy and uncoordinated.

She stumbled to the bathroom, splashing water on her face in an attempt to shake off the exhaustion. But even the cool water couldn't revive her usual bouncy self. She gazed at her reflection in the mirror, noticing dark circles under her eyes and a pale complexion.

"What's going on?" she wondered, trying to recall the events of the previous night. But nothing came out from the ordinary.

The date with Kelvin had been beautiful, just perfect. They had laughed, talked, and shared a romantic kiss under the stars. She should be feeling elated, not drained.
