"It's but a small gesture for our saviors; it's the least we can do," Lord Edun responded politely, taking a measured sip from his tea.
Rasial's acknowledgment was accompanied by a curious glance around the room. "May I inquire why the estate appears somewhat deserted if you'll indulge me?"
"My apologies for the behavior of my attendant," Lord Edun stated, gesturing for his attendant to cease his intense stares aimed at the head of the expedition. "Forgive his demeanor; he harbors resentment towards the King."
"It's understandable, given the circumstances," Rasial replied, demonstrating his understanding.
