บท 555: Exchanging threats

Penelope rolled her eyes as she said to Mister Harlow, "It should be possible. As long as you know what to say, that man will have no choice but to agree."

She wanted to make use of this handle that she had on Nicolai as well but Penelope was worried that the man would attack her again. Clearly, Nicolai had no qualms about harming and hurting her; the scars on her face were enough evidence to prove that. 

Nicolai had been bewitched by that woman. Penelope had no idea whether Ariana used her body or her face, but she had hooked Nicolai around her little finger. If this went on, then Penelope was certain that Nicolai would agree to marry Ariana. 

She couldn't allow that to happen. That woman had taken away her position and her family; how could she take the man that she wanted to marry as well?
