บท 24: Chapter 24
The night breeze gently rustled the treetops as Yuu and Yue walked hand in hand along one of the park's paths. The street lamps cast a path of golden light as they passed.
"Fufu... I had a lot of fun today. Thank you, Yuu..."
Yue chuckled softly. The little vampire wasn't quite sure about the true nature of their relationship, but it was obvious that Yuu didn't neglect her. Even if he was a mystery in that castle, he was kind to her.
Yes, Yuu wasn't very expressive with words. That's why Yue would take every opportunity to get closer to him in a blatant way. Like when she forced him to feed her at the restaurant. Or at the movies, when she sat on his lap for the whole movie. Or right now, when they walked hand in hand without any qualms.
Yuu himself didn't complain about Yue's affectionate outbursts. To be honest, he enjoyed the comforting warmth the little vampire gave him.
So she could tell that at least Yuu felt some affection for her.
On the other hand, Yuu wasn't as dense as a black hole, so of course he was aware of the vampire's feelings for him.
'This is dating, huh?'
In his long existence, he had never enjoyed a close relationship with anyone, let alone someone he could call a 'girlfriend'.

"Y-Yuu-san! What a coincidence to run into each other here."
The stranger spoke in an agitated tone, while her eyes flashed with a special shine that resembled embarrassment, and she shyly fixed her gaze on the boy.
At the sudden arrival of this girl, Yuu looked at her and said:
"Do you need anything?"
The young girl swallowed her spit and gathered all her courage.
"Yuu-san, ever since I saw you, I can't stop thinking about you. You're so strong, handsome, and cool... I can't help but be attracted to you."
Huh? What the hell?
He didn't even know this girl and she was already confessing to him like a schoolgirl in love.
Beside her, Yue's face darkened as she understood the intentions of this stranger.
This bitch was trying to steal her Yuu right from under her nose!
"Do I know you?"
"Th-that, sorry Yuu-san. I'm so nervous that I forgot to introduce myself. I-I'm-I'm Yuuma." The girl stammered and wrung her hands sheepishly.
Yue clicked her tongue contemptuously. Alarm bells went off in her head at the presence of this "Yuuma". Something about her didn't make sense, as if there was a sinister aura hiding beneath that lovelorn schoolgirl facade.
"She's the girl who bumped into you..."
"Oh, that's her."
Yuu stroked his chin thoughtfully. He always paid little attention to people he didn't care about, and that was the reason why he didn't remember this face. However, after hearing her name...
