เขียนรีวิวThis story is one of if not the best I ever read on webnovel. The powersystem and the parh the MC takes are unique. The MC ist strong but not straight up OP. So he has to be careful at times and depend on friends or elders and cleverly manupulate them to take them help him. The character development is awsome and he lerns from mistakes and experiences, becomes smarter and more witty. There are NO stupid characters that only serve to push the MCs image, which is very refreshing. The novel in very slow paced which in return gives deep insight into the depelopment of the world, characters and story. The way it is written is crazily good in my opinion and very concise which is pretty rare on webnovel considerring that there are alredy more than 1000 chapters out. The only downside is, that the translator sometimes translates single chapters as if the mc is a girl (uses she/her), but most chapters are ok, and I can bear those that are not because of the story. Overall it is a very very engaging story and I am looking forward to reading more.
I don't like slow paced stories and this one is pretty slow paced and the MC is weak which I don't like.
I don’t understand how this webnovel isn’t top 10 yet. I guess some ppl have eyes but can’t see Mount Tai.. [img=Speechless] This is the best story I’ve read on here. It’s about the journey of an array master to the zenith. He’s transmigrated but that’s pretty much forgotten since he starts life over in the new world and actually becomes a part of it. There’s no ruminating about it like TEATB. Initially I was a bit hesitant b/c the world seemed so limited with everything having been explored and everyone stuck to certain lands with spiritual Qi. But I was wrong. Author makes the world soo interesting with MC visiting different places with his master to learn new arrays. The best part are the characters. All of them are soo amazing. There’s no blind face-slapping every chapter or bland villains. MC himself isn’t a psycho either thank god. He’s smart, cunning, nice, and knows how to minimize his weakness. There may be romance in the future too which I really like. There are too many wastrels on here stopping authors from writing romantic subplot for their incel fantasies. Anyways, good job author.
Changing my review from 2 star to 3 star to four star. This might have set a record for the poorest cultivators that has ever lived- but it also has genuine warmth. This also also cares for the discussions of the dao quite deeply. The title of the novel is actually quite a shame it cheapens an otherwise great novel. The name implies the novel to be a cheap knockoff who wants new readers to bite but its actually has depths within it. I bestow the novel the title of “Reading Heaven” - if it has this name then it might as well have been a classic Xianxia. Unfortunately there are a lot of mistakes - MC’s gender being one. But the plot is good even though its pretty slow- and I have read those mc’s who take 500 chapters to establish a foundation- and this mc isnt even establishing one… Even so—- Yes I do hate naive MC and joyous mc and loving mc but when it hits it hits- so damn inspirational.
story is good and I'm Teresa's to read more but the translation is seriously disapointing thing that an human with basic understanding of English would catch on sk the fact I'm paying so much to read it yet there isn't a proof reading done is hugely disapoiting
Story starts out great, then the author starts to drag the story out, milking every chapter. The mc gets draped in outrageous plot armor, all powerful people like him, all villains despite differences in age and cultivation are outwitted, and yet the nothing really gets done other than the occasional formation blowing up, which then magically leads to everything going the mc's way. Story would be so much better if mc gained strength in a more tangible way, but all he's done for hundreds of chapters is eat ghosts and not advance in cultivation. Was enjoying the "eats gods" and "divine god in the making" angle until I realized it just takes away any suspense that was remaining. Cultivators in meat space won't kill him because they all love him, ghosts can't kill him because he eats them, there's literally nothing in the world that actually poses a threat.
เปิดเผยสปอยเลอร์Very unqique take on cultivation story, with good progressive character building as well.Would recommend to read if you're like to read a cultivation story. I just hope the translation keep up with the raw.[img=update]
Brilliant, just brilliant. The story is pure gold. First, the MC is said to have blurry memories of his past life and is not transmigrated so he doesn't have an earthling personality and it's good. Maybe that detail will be important later but so far it only explains his better divine sense than other. I actually forget about it. And because he is not from Earth, his personality is really good. He is crafty, he is bold and he knows to use his head. I really love the MC. He is not perfect, he has weak spiritual roots and a weak body. And he won't miraculously change that. They will be a problem all story long but he focus on his strength (array formation and strong divine sense) to advance and forge a unique path. He is never overpowered compared to other at the same level even if it can be felt sometimes because he knows to use his strong point to win. The thing I really like is all the other characters. They aren't flat with 2d personality. They have depth, they are useful and they aren't discarded like trash when MC is too powerful. Their relationship with each other and the MC made me almost shed a tear at times. And for the story? It starts slow to introduce the characters and the environment but it really picks up fast. You feel quickly there is a huge plot around because the MC is concerned on a local level but the more you learn, the better it becomes. Don't expect quick cultivation level up even if you can feel the MC getting better. The story isn't about his cultivation, it's a real story focused on a plot. The only problem is the MC's gender change with the translation but it's not that annoying because the story is just too good.
This is a book I would love to recommend to most. I love the world, the characters, and the story wants you to read it over and over and over and over again, but the translation is bad still understandable, but simple mistakes can cause confusion and doubt but I do encourage pple to take up this book because it will leave you with no regrets.
The story is very interesting, focusing more on formations/arrays compared to a lot of other stories. The translation is also better than most others, with the only real translation issue being the MCs gender swapping from boy to girl occasionally, not really impactful.
the story and overall development is quite good the only real complaint i have is that in some chapters the main character is referred to as she/her when they are in fact male.
it gets annoying having to correct genders even other chapter , however this story is still worth the read with plenty of amusement from the various genres elements it includes
DISCLAIMER ! COINTAINING a bit of spoiler!!! It is really good however in chapter 128 or so I find it irritating because Mo Hua is being exploited, at first it kinda okay because he at least benefit but in later time they are just exploiting him without limit, I even now see Mo Hua as a naive person.
เปิดเผยสปอยเลอร์Its a very good slow paced novel. I am usually not that much of a fan of low paced ones, but this one is just increadibly well written and very exiting to read. The story, worldbuilding and all that is very well done and I am exited to read more and see how the world builds along the story. I am also very exited to see how the uniquie mc with his uniquie strenghtes evolves. I really like the idea of fiting using formations as it is unlike most of the other cultivation novels I read before. There is no system what is also a + for me. The only negative thing I have to note about this novel is that the author/translator sometimes things that the mc is a girl. Id say in 1 out of 6 chapters the mc "becomes" a girl. Overall, its one of my top favorite novels out all the novels I read.
It is a good story with quite a good focus on development. However a particular lack in noun/gender usage for the main character is a bit troubling.
Great opening for nearly 300 chapters. The mc has real impactful streangths and weaknesses and is working to improve themselves. However, the writer eventually falls into the cliche of invisible mc that nobody can detect. Then the previously careful interesting mc becomes a reckless moron protected only by plot armor.
One of the best books I’ve ever read and I’m not 300 chapters in. I can’t describe how phenomenal this novel is. It’s not for everyone, as the author states, it’s a book more akin to water dripping through stone. However every drop is so thoroughly fleshed, it’s extraordinary. There’s no gimmicks, there’s no specialty, only Tao. This author truly has stuck by his goal in writing this fairy tail. He wanted to create a book about a young ink painting (Mo Hua) building the foundation he needs to cultivate to immortality through arrays. If you are a fan of arrays, if you are a fan of constant accumulation, and the gratification related to success from accumulation, this is the book for you. This book is slow, with long chapters, heavy emotions, the love of family, the strength of friendship, the strength of the common good, the strength of industry, and most importantly, the strength of the formation.
I like the story. The world building is good and well thought out. The main character is nice and I like how well written he is. But the side characters are not one dimensional but people who contribute to the story which ticked a box for me. The power system is good and for someone like me who is tired of reading about novels with systems I like it that this one doesn't have it. This is a pure progression story with no system so the MC would work hard to get to where he is now. I am the type of person who likes to read what the world of the story I am reading about is like, for example this MC is into formations. I read how he constructs and what formations are like. This shows the writer has good descriptive writing and this helps me to see how the MC is progressing and makes me feel a little like I am seeing or checking out the progress of the MC. This is a slow progression story which some people would not like so for now he isn't OP or getting jade beauties like they are Pokémon. The problems I have are with the translator. He doesn't translate this story properly which to me is an insult to such a good story. The translator confuses the gender of the main character and sometimes the character of this story. This story can be better but the translator has to pick up and improve. For those who would read this review, the tags are: #No system #No harem (I don't know) #Slow Weak to Strong Progression (Very slow for some people) Thank you all if you read my review.
This is kind of different story then regular- Mc is not OP atleast till around 800 ch.. There are not many idiots who get offended easily.. the story development is very slow i read raw till 800 and MC is still not powerful enough to face regualr enemies.. anyway its good change rather than other though..
Please keep up the good work. The story is interesting and the update is consistent. I can't really think of anything negative about the story. in summary, Dope!!!
It is a great story. Different from your typical OP eastern mc from a cultivation world where despite having something you may call a cheat do not except in specific condition help in battle and only help him practice indefinetly from a a specific time range formation array thus helping him understand them through sheer effort and dedication and not some god-send opportunity. I recommend this story. FYI, the only reason i gave 3 star in translation quality is because while overall it is a good machine translation the are too many gender inconsistency of the main character where despite being a boy it is posted as a girl. This type of inconsistent become greatly annoying with time so I beseech translator(s), please check the mc gender in your machine translation before posting. In all chapters there is inconsistency it was reported by other readers so you should check on that a correct it please.
This is one of the best new novels I've read. I didn't expect to cry at some point as these kinds of novels doesn't emotionally appeal to me. This is quite a mix and match as sometimes it's fast-paced with action and sometimes slow-paced with a slice of life. Most of the arcs are well thought out and have a clear end/purpose. So, the premise of the novel is; [Mo Hua, the protagonist, is born with a weak body and poor spiritual roots but great spiritual awareness. Having a weak body means he can't take the body refining path as with his father, a demon hunter. So, he turns to the formation/array where he has some talent and where the stele in his mind is useful.] I would like to mention that the protagonist has a status of casual cultivator with poor qualifications who's only good at formations, so be ready for a lot of mentions on his poor qualifications. I would say this is a bit emotional as the protagonist is an emotional person. I think that's actually what made me like this a bit more as it has some emotional color into it. The side characters are not just 'side' characters but instead like the main character, their story unveils throughout the novel. I can name a lot of characters I've grown to love throughout Mo Hua's journey. Another feature of the novel is how the protagonist kinda leap frog levels. It's not the same as other protagonists where he directly fights as this one uses formations to attain that leap frog fight. Overall, I like this novel, and I'll probably continue to wait for it to finish. Although, I think this is gonna be long as it has a LOT of foreshadowing happening.
Disclaimer for those starting this book - Don't expect traditional chinese power fantasy. This book's genre is kind of 'feel good' slice of life with traditional xianxia elements and the speed of cultivation is slow. A welcome respite from the trash we are served. The background of the novel is that the world's spiritual energy is running out so everyone depends on spiritual stones but the power dynamic of the world is such that the well off clans are powerful and they keep on holding on to the power hierarchy. So because of the income inequalities the wandering cultivators stay on the bottom of the hierarchy. This review is valid up to chapter 100, I've not seen much of the evils of human society. The society shown seems very idealistic. The only source of conflict is the stereotypical young master of a clan. But any source of conflict is warded off by the connections built by the main character through his childish innocence. There is one big plot hole which icks me. The protagonist is said to live a second life on Earth and then came back to his home world apparently. But the childish naivety and the childish questions on morality don't make sense to me if he has lived on Earth. There is a dialogue where his instructor says to him to remain low-key and not show off his talents and he treats this dialogue like a major epiphany which just doesn't make sense. So up to chapter 100 it is better if you erase the Earth part from your memory. It will be way better if you treat the protagonist as a native lifeform who is in his childhood and is very naive regarding social customs. Because the transmigration part of the story has not made an impact yet.
Refreshing story!! love the family bond friendship and was a first time really feeling the struggle of the mc and his family i looj foward to seeing how he fight or the story develop with the array!
Good novel. The story progression is quite suitable for me as it showed the life of a poor-cultivator background. This points out the reality where progress needs to be taken step by step. until now I've read til chap 35 and this novel feels like a slice of life for me where there is still no life threatening situation comes along.

Best novel in quite a while. I ended up translating it with ai- thats how good it is.
