บท 94: Just to survive

His roommate had gotten used to the fact and no longer made it an issue that Brendan needed a nightlight since he didn't like sleeping in the dark.

Every now and then these nightmares would come repeatedly to Brendan and then he would go weeks without a single nightmare.

The night before the exhibition display that he and Zinc had been coerced by Lucien into putting on a spectacle to showcase the wonders of fight Gladiator style.

The nightmare came again this time more intensely than on previous occasions. 

Everytime Brendan thought he was in control, the gruesomeness of his nightmare wouldn't cause him sleepless nights anymore; the dream always proved him wrong.

It was the same nightmare every time but it seemed like with each dream the suffering of the victim got worse.

It weighed heavily on Brendan's mind at times, so much that he would get restless and afraid to go to bed.
