บท 43: Out of control

Her hands still shook, an attack of the nerves probably. 

Somehow she managed to release the pin and set off the smoke bomb. 

It was clearly no ordinary bomb as it seemed to confuse the shifter demons and sent them running in the opposite direction.

What would happen when the effects of the smoke bomb wore off and the pack was back to kill them.

Everytime she was around this guy, somebody was always trying to kill her.

Charm should have felt afraid but even with an injured Genesis beside her, the waves of fear subsided.

Even as exhausted as she felt if another shifter demon jumped out at them she was ready to deal with it.

Maybe it was the adrenaline speaking but ever since she became aware of the existence of demons a part of her had become almost numb.

Charm was rapidly losing her innocence and becoming desensitized to bloodshed like a combat veteran.

She caught Genesis' eye.
