"What?! What do you mean by that!" Seren protested.
Amane firmly held her back, dragging her away from Jena. She clung desperately to Seren's leg, but before she could be pulled along, Lucien intervened, stomping on her hand.
"Don't you dare," he warned, his voice stern.
"What are you doing, Mom? You agreed to help me!" Seren cried out, struggling against Amane's strong grip.
"I gave you two days, but you took four. This is the consequence," Amane reasoned with Seren, trying to make her understand. "Just believe in your brother." she continues with a whisper.
But Seren was not having it. How could she believe in someone who dragged a pregnant woman and threw her at this traumatic experience?
"You can leave if you don't want to watch. I won't force you," Lucien added, giving Seren an out.
