Avery Miller was startled by his sudden movement; thankfully, she was sitting on the couch, unsure how to handle Mark's unexpected advance otherwise.

Mark had only taken off his suit before collapsing onto the bed and falling into a deep sleep.

She wasn't sure if it was just her imagination, but Avery felt certain that Mark wouldn't harm her. Was it because she wasn't his target from the start?

From the moment they met, he often showed signs of wanting her, yet he always seemed to let her go, intentionally or not. Why? He was supposed to be a ruthless man, so why was he different with her?

Avery Miller quietly watched the man sleeping deeply on the bed. It was as if he knew she wouldn't dare to run or do anything to him, leaving himself completely unguarded.
