บท 48: Moonlight Blushes Below the Dorm

"Laughing at what? No laughing allowed!" He scowled, turning away from her.

Avery Miller's eyes shimmered with tears and mirth as she gazed at him, feeling a sudden reluctance to part. 

She stepped forward and embraced him deeply, tightly.

"What if I miss you?" she murmured, burying her head against his broad, muscular chest, a tear trailing down her closed eyes.

Ethan Montgomery wrapped his arms around her, pulling out a beautifully packaged box from the side.

"What's this?" she asked, taking the box he handed her and opening it to find a limited edition women's smartphone inside.

"Why are you giving me a phone? I already have one." She pulled out her own phone, its screen cracked from an unknown mishap, waving it in front of him. 

Seeing his expression unchanged, her bravado faded, and she quietly pocketed her old phone.
