บท 2: System and Functions?
There's so much that I need help understanding about the system. Even with all of the explanations that have been given to me, a part of me still trying to figure out what's the system is all about.
"And, why would I need your system? Wouldn't a skill be useful for someone?"
*Beep*
<Well, skills are the application of the system. A system can give a user more abilities than the skills could. That's why a system is superior compared to a skill.>
"So, a system can be used to obtain more abilities. And it is superior compared to the skill?"
*Beep*
<Affirmative.>
"What if the user doesn't know how to use the system properly, wouldn't that be a waste? And the user could use the system the wrong way, causing problems."
*Beep*
<That wouldn't be an issue. A system can be used easily by anyone, it is made that way.>
"So even I can use the system? Wouldn't it be hard to learn as I doubt anyone knows a thing about a system."
*Beep*
<No worries, it's easy and with my assistance, you'll be able to master the system quickly.>
"Are you serious? Then, could I use the system now or do I need some kind of requirements or something?"
*Beep*
<Nope, not required. The user can use the system any time they want. There is no limit as to how many times the user can use the system. It is free to use. Well, you can use the system now.>
"Then, can I use the system now?"
*Beep*
< I should help you understand how to use the system, so ask away if you have questions.>
'Okay. Then let's see how much of a benefit the system is.'
"Then, guide me."

"Wow!"
All of a sudden, the same blue window that popped up earlier, and inside of it, there were many tabs. One of them displayed my name and all of the stats that I currently have. Usually, people couldn't see their stats like this as it's required to use an appraisal spell.
*Beep*
<It is a status screen. You can view the basic information about yourself in this tab. Also, in this tab, you can alter your attributes to a certain degree. But the attributes that cannot be altered are the basic attributes like HP and MP, the others can be altered. It is also possible for a user to unlock or create a new attribute.>
"I see."
*Beep*
<Would you like to change your current status?>
This is amazing. I could change the way I looked. I could increase my attributes. This is like a cheat for becoming much stronger. But when I look at my stats. I realized something that altering it wouldn't do me any good in the situation right now.
All because my stats are low, to begin with, like decreasing one of my stats won't do much.

So in the end, I decided not to change anything. But if I don't do anything, I doubt I can survive in this dungeon and it seems like I am far from the exit of this dungeon.
"I will not alter my stats right now..." I paused for a bit as then I asked a very important question to the helmet, "Does the system provide anything else that is useful for my current situation?"
*Beep*
<Of course, there are lots of features that are available for you to use.>
"What can the system provide for me right now?"
*Beep*
<Right now, I have unlocked three different functions. You can acquire more functions in the future.>
"What are the three functions?"
*Beep*
<They are map, skills, and inventory.>
"What are the uses of those functions?"
*Beep*
<For the Map function, it is possible to view the entire layout of the dungeon. With the Inventory function, you can store objects in your inventory. For the Skills function, a user can learn a new skill but it would consume experience points. Also, the skill can be upgraded to a higher tier by consuming more experience points.>
"Oh... okay..."
I was quite surprised and was having a hard time trying to absorb all of the information. But at least I can have a general idea of what the functions of each of the functions are.
But the most useful functions that I could use now were probably the map functions and the inventory functions.
"Can I use the map now?"
*Beep*
< Affirmative, please say or think "show map".>

All of a sudden, the blue window was replaced with a map. When I took a look at the map, there was a small dot blinking in the middle of the map which I assumed was me.
But I notice something, there's a red dot that seems to be moving towards me.
'A monster?'
"Um... there is a red dot approaching towards me, does that mean the red dot is a monster?"
*Beep*
<It's correct.>
When I hear that, I can't help but to be panic for a bit. There's no way I could fight in my weakened state right now... from what I see about my HP. It's extremely low and I probably would die if I engage in a fight right now.
But, it seems like the monster isn't here yet. So I could still have some time to prepare and think of a plan.
I did ask the helmet whether it could tell me what kind of monster was coming towards me. But sadly it can't do that as it states the extra functions of the map couldn't be unlocked fully as I don't have enough Experience Points to unlock it.
Making me realize that there are some limitations in what I could do even after I have such a system. Yet I still believe that there's still a thing that I can do with it… and that was on the Skill Function.
"Can I see the skills list now?"
*Beep*
