บท 88: [74]The Dick Wizard
-Xenovia POV-
God is dead.
Those three words destroyed my whole world.
The very pillar of how I lived, how I thought, and my faith has been broken and shattered.
I...I believe that the foundation of faith lies in wanting "salvation"
For someone to carry us behind their back and tell us that everything is going to be ok.
Even if the world is ending, knowing that there's a paradise waiting for you after death, it gives serenity to one's heart.
But it was a lie!
The church, I'm sure that they've must have known about this, at least the high-ranking officials. For years they've told us the lie that "God is with us" and that "god will protect us", but no, it was nothing but a ruse.
Was there even a heaven for us to begin with?
My faith...it was dead.
The anchor that kept me from drowning in this accursed world was gone.
But then he came, his hair was like string gold, and his eyes were a deep green. It felt like looking into a meadow, a gentle breeze swaying the grass amongst its small hills.
And that reassuring smile of his, I don't know what or how, but it somehow calmed me.
But what surprised me even more were his words "If you have no one to lean on, no one to put your faith in, no God. Then why not put your faith in me?"
If anyone else had said that to me, I would have thought that their words were nothing but arrogance; but I wanted to believe in his words no matter how absurd he sounded.
Perhaps...he could be my new God, a God that was actually in the flesh, a God that was actually here to help me in my lowest; just as Otto did. He helped me and Irina when we were looking for a place to stay despite not knowing us well. He even helped me right now and defeated Freed...well, more like he splatted him all around.
All I needed was a sign, some signal by the world.
And Otto Delivered, no, GOD delivered.
He created a miracle, he gave a Fallen Angel their Angel-Hood back, something that shouldn't be doable by every means possible. If it were so easy to turn a Fallen back to normal, I'm pretty sure that the Fallen wouldn't exist.
Even the newly reborn, Kokabiel kneeled in front of him, worshiping him as if he were his god.
looking to my side, I could see Irina with a slack-jawed expression.
"Irina..." I tugged on her sleeve, snapping her out of her stupor.
looking back at me, I could see it in her eye. the desperation that had filled her violet-colored eyes was gone and was now replaced with hope.
Latching onto each other's hand, we both began to walk forward. Hopefully, towards our new light. "Let's go, Irina"
-3rd POV-
Otto who was looking at the kneeling Kokabiel, turned his head around as he heard two pairs of footsteps coming his way. The footsteps belonged to the battered Xenovia and Irina, both holding each other's hands as they walked towards him.
As they finally reached Otto, Irina Spoke "Can we put our faith in you?" Her question almost sounded desperate.
Otto didn't speak, he merely looked at them with the same gentle eyes he did when he arrived.
Raising his hand, he caressed both of their faces. To both the girl's surprise, a warm sensation was spread through their bodies. Their bleeding wounds from their previous fight had been healed, and even their tattered tight exorcist suit had been fixed.
Words weren't needed anymore, Xenovia and Irina knew that they had been accepted by him.
"Otto, I'm done" Suddenly spoke a voice.
Everyone looked towards the voice direction, it was Kiba.
His face was neutral, but what he was dragging along the dirt with his hand... wasn't.
It was some sort of grotesque smushed-up ball of flesh, body parts sticking out weren't they shouldn't.
Yes, this was Valper.
Back in Isaiah's(Kiba) Sub-Class Balance Breaker, Isaiah absolutely demolished Valper. He tortured him to no end with any means he could. in the end, he decided to reshape and stick back his detached limbs into a disgusting ball of flesh that was barely alive with [Abyss Flower].
{A/N: Abyss flower can heal wounds, he just healed him the wrong way. kind of like Redo of a healer. IYKYK}
"So you're finished?" Otto asked, earning a nod from Kiba.
Otto sighed with relief, now this was all over. And now It was now time for those sweet, sweet, rewards!.

Right after the whole fiasco, everyone went their own ways. I went back home with three new residents, surprising everyone. Himeko was especially vocal about this, I guess bringing back two girls who are basically worshiping your every step was the wrong move here.
I'm sleeping on the couch for the next week...
Anyway, I've already had all the paperwork done including their new identities(Much wasn't changed besides a few things), and their attendance at Kuoh Academy was also included. Thankfully I didn't have much trouble when asking Sona to accept them into the academy.
Another few important things to note, [Avalon], [Cosmic Juggernaut], and those [5 Gacha tickets].

Concerning [Avalon], I decided to bestow it upon, Arthur.
Yes, maybe I should have kept it with me since it's a pretty OP Divine Construct. The Sheath is quite literally the embodiment of the Ever Distant Utopia; Avalon. And its defensive abilities and buffs are insane.
Absolute defense in the land of fairies, a huge mana regeneration boost, and a busted healing factor. The wielder of [Avalon] can and will be able to survive most fatal wounds as long as the head is still ok. Targeting anything other than the holder's head in order to destroy their brain is futile, requiring for a decisive strike to be landed in order to cause any true damage
But since I combined all the [Excalibur Fragments] and gave the complete [Excalibur] to, Arthur, I might as well complete the set. Plus, he's pretty good with swords.
My main weapon is also the spear so the sword and sheath will be better used by, Arthur.
I can also just take it back when I need it for a big fight.
And if he goes rogue... let's just say that I'll be throat-fucking him with [Chastiefol]. After all, his only weakness is the head now.
Concerning cosmic Juggernaut, I'm not going to do any multiversal travel anytime soon. So much to do first. I've got the three faction peace talks coming up, The scheduled destruction of the Pendragon clan, and the Herrshers.
I won't be leaving for a joyride, at least not until the first Herrsher arrives in Korea and it gets defeated.
And those 5 Gacha tickets.

And I will admit...I did have an addiction phase with a certain Gacha game, I ended up whaleing almost half a mill before Himeko found out how much I was spending, and banned me from ever playing a Gacha game again.
Some people lose their money to the casino, some people lose it to cute digital girls wearing skimpy dresses.
And I'm the latter.
Well, back to the main topic. Obviously, I gambled my 5 draws into one "Fate" series ticket.
Stupid decision, especially since I'm technically a lancer class in the Fate-Verse. They have the shitiest luck in the whole realm.

I immediately took deep breaths to calm myself. I'm already a few years sober from Gacha gambling, I can't get addicted again.

A light manifested itself before me, some sort of magic circle was drawn in the middle of the room along a white paper appearing in my hand.
It had some sort of incantation, probably for servant summoning.
Walking towards it, I raised my hand as I flowed my magical energy into the magic circle.

as the summoning circle began to shine, signaling that the summoning was working, something unexpected came out of the circle "A flower petal?"
"...oh fuck no!" I said in realization, I tried to stop the summon but the circle wouldn't stop sucking up my mana.

As the light died down, a person's figure was revealed. The man was wearing a robe woven with the finest fabrics, though he still looked modest, his long white hair appearing with the colors of the rainbow under sunlight coming from my window.

Opening his eyes, he smiled at me and gave a small bow "Greetings, Master. I am Merlin. People call me the Mage of Flowers. Just call me Merlin as I don't care for formalities~"
"Fuck, I got the Dick Wizard?!" I couldn't help but shout in frustration, from all the servants I could have gotten, I got this prick!
"Eh?" Merlin looked at me in confusion.
I wouldn't even have minded if I had gotten a BEAST or some other bullshit being from the Fate-verse.
I wonder if the Fate system has return shipping?
